YPS X Angie

Hello everybodyyyyyy! I've officially completed my first sem in uni which means that I'm back from my 3.5 months hiatus from blogging. Just to clear things up but I wasn't planning to be gone for so long but hall + school life has kept me insanely busy. So busy that I don't really have much spare time to myself. Hopefully I'll have better time management and catch up on the 1000000 posts that I have planned since August

Knit and Suede

Hello everyone! It's been such a long time since I've blogged. The longest hiatus I've had ever since I've decided to share my thoughts on this little space right here. University has just been overwhelming and I haven't had time to sort out my photos/ spend some alone time typing the night away. It's currently 12.50am and I'm snuggled in my bed with Glitter next to me and it didn't hit me how much I've missed nights like this. I promise to try and keep this space updated no matter how busy I am!

Wild West

Going to theme parks during winter means it's a must to wear jeans cause it's just so much more convenient and you won't end up freezing when on roller coasters. Which is why I actually bought a pair just before I flew off to Gold Coast. If you don't know, I'm not a huge fan of jeans cause they're almost impossible to wear in sunny Singapore and I feel really constrained in them. Plus it's harder to find the right pair of jeans for petite girls (as all my other petite friends agree) and so I was kind of skeptical about getting them but I had no choice so oh well.

Eumundi Markets

I've been to Australia once on a school trip back in P6 and thought I can't rmb much of it, what really stuck with me was the market in Perth that we visited. I can't rmb what it's called but the concept of it was really interesting to me and I guess the idea of hand made items are always 10x more appealing than mass manufactured ones. It's one of a kind! Hence I really wanted to visit another one of those markets on my recent trip to Australia.

Safari

Aussie is known for the amount of animals and greenery the country has to offer and believe me when I say that it definitely is an escape from the concrete jungle we have here in Singapore. The endless amount of forest-like areas was the inspiration for this outfit which is so apt for Aussie's autumn as well.

Air Bnb: Brisbane

Every Airbnb house that we stayed at in Australia has such a different concept but nevertheless, each house is still as wonderful as the previous one. I would describe our Brisbane apartment as a young person's dream; modern, chic and convenient. The apartment was just a 10mins walk (a few mins drive) away from the pubs, bars and restaurants which I guess would facilitate your night life very well. Especially since nth much is open at night in Brisbane.

Air Bnb: Gold Coast

I've always thought of using Air Bnb cause it's a much better alternative to staying in costly hotels, especially if you're in a big group! If you think about it, an average room cost about $300 per night for 2 people so if there's 6 of you (as in the case of my family) it's $900 per night. That's just insanely costly if you're travelling as a family cause your parents will be the ones paying it all. And so we opted for Air Bnb instead as it seemed like the best option.

12 Places To Dine In Hong Kong

I'm sure all of you know that I've been to HK countless number of times cause well, my parents are from HK. Everytime I go back I have a list of places that I want to visit and as I grew older, that list have been expanding and growing. Now I'm trying to tick off the places that I've dined at in this little (or long) checklist of mine and I thought it'd be a good idea to share with you these places.

#JENESYSSinHK

Presenting to you one of my favourite basic top upcoming on Jenesyss. To be honest, I'm not a fan of high neck tops cause they don't usually look good on me. I mean to me, it makes my shoulders look broader and less flattering which is why I'm quite shocked that this one works wonders. I liked how I looked in it and it goes really well with a skirt (which I'm always wearing if I may add haha) Comes in maroon as well!

PS. Hashtag #Jenesysstravels #Jensyssin(country) to share your travel photos dressed in Jenesyss!

Blue Top - Jenesyss (Upcoming)
Suede Skirt - Hong Kong
Bag - Hong Kong
Sandals - Charles n Keith
Necklace - Foundry and Co

Sarongs

I've never imagined myself in a sarong but ever since Nyoman dressed me in one for our visit to the Water Temple, I fell in love with sarongs. So much so that I went to the Ubud Art Market on the very same day and got myself the maroon sarong you see in the first few photos.

Sarongs are just so flattering and they make your legs look 10x longer than the really are haha! This set of photos brings me back to Racial Harmony Days in Primary school when I used to always wear a costume from a different race. So far, my favourite will still have to be a Sari because it's just so colourful and vibrant. (I keep telling my Indian friends to get married so I can wear a sari hahahaha) But now, I think I'll add sarongs to the list of traditional costumes that I really like.

Sarongs laid flat down are pretty much a rectangular shaped cloth and you basically just wrap them around yourself and tie a knot at the side. The nice lady that I bought my sarong from even taught me how to wear it as a dress for days when I just want to lounge around in my hotel room. Oh and bonus points for feeling super immersed in the Balinese culture in my sarong.

Sunkissed

Think of Bali and I'm sure the first thing that comes to your head is the beach. Well or anything related to the beach. Be it surfing, bikinis, the sun etc. And of course I couldn't give the beach a miss when I was in Bali!

I was so excited for this trip that I bought my bikinis before even booking tickets. I got this set from Victoria's Secrets and I love it to bits! High waisted bikinis are just so flattering for all body types, especially if you're curvy! (As I was telling Ben hehe) The only problem with VS is that the shipping fare cost a bomb. I paid around $60+ for express delivery because I was afraid the bikinis wouldn't get here in time for my trip. I would kill myself if I paid so much for bikinis that didn't make it to Bali with me hahaha.

Oh and this set of photos were taken at Double Six Beach and you can actually find instructors on the spot for some surfing lessons!

Floppy Hat - Forever 21
