SR's 25th Anniversary

This year is actually SR's 25th birthday and as much as I complain about school, I really really do love SR. To be honest, I didn't really have a 'must go' school because everywhere pretty much felt the same to me. SR was my third choice and when I found out that I was posted there, I basically saw the msg and just went back to sleep haha!

So SR really took their 25th anniversary really seriously and there were a lot of mini events to hype everyone up for it. Some of the college ambassadors were asked to perform our walk in which is basically a dance we did during orientation for SR's 25th anniversary as a fringe performance. Being the enthu CA that I was, I went YES I VOLUNTEER AS TRIBUTE! Along with Jo and Corn of course! (Lazy John was too lazy to stay back for practices but too bad John, you missed out)

So here are some pictures from that day and it was officially the last day I get to paint my face yellow hahaha

And the girls had to tie high ponytails for the performance so that explains why our hair looks really funny haha!

(Corn's VPL hehehe. Here's what you get for photobombing)

Had such a fun time with these guys and I'm just so thankful to have this bunch (:

Prim and Proper

Was inspired by a photo I saw on Instagram by a French blogger and decided to go all prim and proper for a Dior event last Friday. This blouse says French/ Paris/ English all over and it's a perfect top for a day at a cafe drinking coffee or you know, to look really demure (even when you're not haha!)

Paired it with a midi to complete the prim and proper look cause mini skirts just wouldn't fit the part. I wore something similar before and funny enough, the top was from the same shop haha! I would have paired this top with a mint midi actually like the one in the other post but I sold it away (oops) and I'm glad to have another midi in my wardrobe. A blessing in disguise cause yellow is such a vibrant colour and it's that 'pop' you need in every outfit(:

Decided to wear my all time favourite nude heels to complete the look. Would have worn white ones but my comfy heels are the chunky ones which doesn't really fit in with the look I'm going for and the minimalist one that I have would have killed my feet after the event. So there you have it, an extra demure look for the day.

In Twos

Hello everyone! I know it's been an insanely long time since I've blogged. In fact, I believe this is the longest hiatus I've had ever since I've started posting updates in this little space. I sincerely apologise cause As are in less than 2 weeks and October has been one heck of a month!

After my Pre-As, I wore this dress out for a shopping date at Orchard with my sister. For those of you who are really observant, this dress might look familiar because I've blogged about it before! Just that it was in wine red so just a difference in colour(:

I have a lot of photos to share from this month but I'll probably only be posting them after As! Anw, huge thanks to those who have been checking this space!

Day Out At The Fair

Did you know that fairs exist in Singapore? I had no idea completely until Rifdi brought my brother and I out to the Drem Tent sale/fair. I know when I say fair, you guys are probably thinking of tents being placed up at some large, wide open area where shops will sell really random things hahaha. At least that's what I thought! But due to the lack of space in Singapore, tents are usually held in buildings. Everything about a fair that you expect there to be will be there, just no humongous open spaces(:

A lot more stuff were sold in the building itself. Because it's at a furniture shop, there's lots of furnitures for sale. Btw, did you know that a small table can cost more than $30 000?! My brother and I went on a mission to find the most expensive table/chair/stool/bed etc. (Yeah my age automatically reduces to 7 when I'm with my brother) Rifdi knew the place really well and almost everyone working there cause he always come here to pick furniture for his clients. It was so funny cause everywhere we went, there will be someone gng "Hey Rifdi!"

At the fair, there was always this smoothie shop which apparently is the pioneer of smoothie or smth like that haha! Rifdi knew the owner so he was really excited to check them out. He was telling me about the technique that they came up with in order to preserve all the nutrition in a smoothie and so, of course we couldn't leave without getting one. It's really, really good but cause the bottle was huge, we got 1 to share.

Food was average but good enough to keep up full!

Ended the day by gng to Rifdi's office to run some errands before his trip to Paris and that's it!

Yellow Cup Coffee

Cause Jo was craving for waffles, we decided to check out Yellow Cup Coffee after reading reviews of it online with our cafe hopping group!

First thought when I arrived there, they have really cute toys on all tables!! It's such an interesting concept and all of us had fun with it while waiting for our food(: Not so much on playing with it but more of figuring what each of them does haha!

So while we were waiting for our food, we were playing around with the toys. We also noticed that YCC's tables are generally quite large so they'll fit around 7-8 ppl per table. There are limited number of small tables so if you're gng in a small group, chances are you'll have to share a table with someone else! That was the case for most of the ppl sitting at a large table. A little weird but I probably wouldn't mind. But luckily for us, we occupied the whole table haha! (No one can judge us for being amazed with the toys hehe)

Scrambled and Salmon ($15)

YCC's brunch menu is pretty limited and they only have one dish that has scrambled eggs ): Most of their dishes involve poached eggs but I don't really like them so I was kind of stuck with getting waffles. Normally, I like my waffles to be topped with ice cream and chocolate. Unfortunately (or fortunately), YCC only offers fruit or the waffles you see up there! Seeing that one of the waffles had scrambled eggs, I decided to go with it! Turns out, it was really yummy! In my opinion, best dish there! The waffles were fluffy and cooked perfectly. The smoked salmon was really yummy too! Just that it made me really thirsty after haha!

Here's what Wai Yheng got! Btw she insisted on taking a photo of her with her food and the gnome. She was weirdly attracted to the gnome (I still love you Wai haha). This dish was pretty good too! A little light so definitely not for those who have a huge appetite.

Twin Salmon Nest ($15)

And here's what Lynne got! I tried the poach egg and it was surprisingly, really nice! Well that's coming from someone who doesn't really like poach eggs so that has got to mean something right? Haha! The salad looks really average though and if I'm not wrong, Lynne didn't eat it.

Grilled Ham and Cheese ($9)

Rachel ordered this and actually, I was also contemplating between this and the waffles that I got. It's your classic, simple ham and cheese sandwich. Nothing fancy but nothing bad as well(:

Fruity Waffles ($8)

And Jolene got her waffle fix! I knew she would order this out of all the waffles cause she really likes eating fruits. For $8, this is one of the cheaper waffles around. Normally, waffles are above $10 but I guess it's cause the topping for this is rather plain. It's still really good though and you should get it if you're into fruits!

And my ootd for the day! Couldn't take more shots cause it was difficult at that timing. The sun was up and the lighting was really bad but glad Jo managed to capture this(:
