S.E.A Aquarium: Date with the fishies

Back during the March hols, I finally paid SEA Aquarium a visit with my family! It was a new experience for all of us cause none of us have been there before. It was a really nice family outing and we all looked super tourisy haha! Well I mean both my aunts were here and they were on a vacation so there was lots of photo taking gng on!

Rifdi dove us to Sentosa in his 7 seater car so all of us could ride tgt! We were originally planning to drive 2 cars cause of the lack of seats but now, we could all sit tgt. It's a lot more fun that way cause we could chat and snap photos. Kind of felt like a road trip actually!

One thing really strange about the carpark at RWS. It's only one level but it's really, really big. There's actually a shuttle bus service that drives you within the car park! So you see random shuttle bus stops along the way in the carpark itself. Yup, that's how big the car park is. Despite the size of it, we had a little trouble finding a lot. It kind of felt like we were just going round in circles cause we couldn't go up or down haha! Our lot was quite a distance from the entrance so we took about 7 mins to walk over. All of us also made it a point to rmb where we parked cause if we forgot, we would have to spend hours trying to find the car haha!

We went for lunch at the food court near USS. It's a really cool place actually which sells local food. The setting of it takes you back to the 70s (think shop houses) and even the store names are unique as well!

After lunch, we headed out and took some photos with the USS globe!

Check out my aunt in the last photo. She looks totally like a tourist with her sun hat and new balance kicks haha! We walked over the the aquarium which wasn't too far away. It was only about a 5 mins walk. After entering, I was a little taken aback actually. I was expecting it to be like Underwater World where you'll be greeted by tanks and tanks of fishes. For SEA Aquarium, the front part of it is actually somewhat like a museum. There were lots of artifacts and pictures of how fishing was like in the past. Quite a cool experience actually!

To be honest, I didn't read any of the description. Don't lie, you know you wouldn't too hahaha. I was just looking at all the display. It was really nicely done up! Neatly organised by the different countries.

At the end, there would be an escalator down that takes you to where all the fishes are! That's where all the selfie with the fishes started happening hahaha! The only downside was that the lighting wasn't good so most photos were quite blur and grainy. Tried my best to capture nice photos of the fishes nevertheless!

And here's where we decided to stop to take a break. There were benches at this spot so it was a nice place to rest. Did I forget to mention that there's a cotton candy cart here too! We ended up buying 2 cotton candy cause we're such kids.

And back to our fish adventure...

And that's it folks! Haha that was the end of our aquarium trip. My sister, Rifdi and I ended up buying Gelato ice cream cause the store was convenintly located right at the end of the aquarium trail. There were so many flavours but I settled for the Gelato Bomb cause I wanted to say I have a bomb, I ate a bomb, a bomb taste good #dontjudge.

As I was happily munching away, it started to melt after awhile and started 'cracking'. Guess what, it fell on my phone. Hahaha ok don't buy a Gelato bomb if you're not a fast ice cream eater. Lesson learnt haha! Had to go to the washroom to clean up after.

So that's it! I'd say that the aquarium is worth paying a visit if you've nvr been there before! Maybe not a revisit unless you're really, really into fishes. After we left Sentosa, we headed to Gardens by the Bay. We didn't enter the dome cause we didn't see a need to and we were honestly, just exhausted and too lazy to walk around. We did snap a few photos outside the place though!
