Finn's Beach Club

Ben and I did a little travelling when we're in Bali and we went to Finn's Beach Club after hearing a friend of mine go on and on about how good it was. We took a cab ride from Seminyak and it was about an hr ride. The good thing about it was that it only cost around $15 SGD for such a long cab ride but the bad part? Well, let's just say that we got car sick.

The roads of Bali aren't exactly the smoothest so don't expect the kind of highways you see in Singapore. Instead, they have a lot of side roads and alleys which in a way, makes it easier to go to places cause they're like short cuts. But that means a lot of turning and cause we weren't used to it, we both felt a little nauseous after the car ride. Moreover, Finn's Beach Club was located at a hill which meant lots of upwards movements.

It just felt so darn good to finally get off the cab and be able to walk on our own.

And to be rewarded with a view like this? Everything was worth it.

Jason was telling me how we had to take a lift down to the beach and at first, I wasn't really sure what he was talking about. Turns out, the beach was down the hill and the lift would bring us all the way down to the little private beach seen in the photo!

And of course, everywhere was picture perfect.

As Finn's Beach Club is a private beach, everyone has to pay RP 250 000(~SGD $25) to enter the beach. It might sound a little pricey at first but it's quite worth it actually. Everyone would be given a credit of RP 150 000 (~SGD $15) for food and drinks so you actually only pay RP 100 000 (~SGD $10) for the beach. I'd much rather pay to go to the beach cause that means that there are lesser people there. No one likes a crowded beach right?

Cause the sun was setting when we arrived, we didn't have much time to snap photos and the lighting wasn't the greatest! But we still took some cause we're such typical tourists. Btw, fun fact but the sun sets at 6.15pm in Bali and the sky is all dark by 6.30pm.

There were bean bags around which you can choose to just lie on and lounge around.

For dining options, there wasn't much to choose from or rather, there was only only restaurant there hahaha. But they had a variety of food to choose from and we ordered steak and wedges with our credit.

Dinner by the sea, hearing the waves crash onto the shore, what else could you ask for!

It's so amazing how within an hour, the sand where we were happily running on has now become filled with water due to the high tide. If you're planning on paying a visit to Finn's Beach Club, best advice would be to go at around 3-4pm. We initially wanted to go around that timing but due to our delayed flight, everything was pushed back. Hence sadly, we didn't have as much sun as we would have liked to see but nevertheless, made it in time for the sunset(:

PS. It was only 7pm when the last photo was taken but yup, it was alr pitch dark
