Floral Dreams

I am so so so glad I finally got a chance to wear this floral bustier out. It's been almost a month since I bought it and I nvr found an opportunity to wear it out. The situation now is pretty much I shop faster than I can wear my new clothes hahaha!

So today I had a shopping date with my bb, Lynn, and here's a comfy little outfit I put tgt. It's always important to ensure that you're comfortable with what you're wearing when you're going to shop for long hours. I mean you wouldn't want to be walking awkwardly the whole time right? Hahaha a little embarrassed to say this but that has actually happened to me before.

This dress is padded at the bust area so it's definitely a good buy for those who aren't as well-endowed. The inner lining is really unique as well. Normally, an inner lining will be a short, straight cut cloth but for this dress, it comes with a poof! I'm not kidding when I say poof. The inner lining reminds me of the corset dresses women use to wear in the past haha! It's really cute though cause it gives your dress an extra poof which is definitely a head turner. I'm letting this dress go though cause I have too many clothes haha! Drop me an email if you're interested! (:

Shoes wise, I'm in my comfy, trusty TCL booties which gave me no trouble at all! Really one of the best buy I every purchased.  On a side note, I'm flying off to Shanghai in 2 days and I'm so excited to share with you guys the places that I will be visiting and expect 7 days worth of winter outfit posts! (:

Food-Filled Day

Went over to Jolene's place today to start on our lit project! Happy to say that we have completed our part for the group work alr so we're only left with our individual assignments for lit :D It's just so depressing that even though the school term has ended, there's still tons of hw to do. I forsee myself procrastinating and doing all my hw on the last weekend of Dec hahaha!

So anw, I went over for lunch today and I was so excited! I'm sure by now you guys know what an awesome cook Jolene is. She told me yesterday that she's going to make stuffed chicken breast with cheese, bacon and broccoli served with mash potatoes and apple sauce. Like wow. It sounds sooooo grand! I love having a bestie who loves to cook(: When I went over to her place, she was busy preparing the chicken. It's really funny seeing her do it because she had to tie a string around the chicken to ensure that the fillings won't spill out. She was literally using a string to tie the chicken. That's smth new to me and she even jokingly said that the chicken is going to have a very ugly tan line when we take it out from the oven haha!

She was really focused on tying the chicken so much so that it seems like she was conducting an operation haha! Then she prepared the mash potatoes as well. Seemed really fun mashing it up. I would have helped but I was busy taking photos of the chef's work! Then she did all the cooking and while waiting for lunch to be served, I snapped a few photos of Bailey.

And a random selfie cause Bailey started to run away from me haha! He was too busy playing Fetch.

And finally... lunch is served!!!

I was really blown away by the dish. For starters, it looks so difficult to make! It was really yummy and I finished everything hehe. When I finish a dish, it means that it's good. I have a really small appetite so usually I can't finish a dish. The chicken was soft and tender, the cheese is oozing out and not to mention, this dish is healthy too! Jolene is a pretty healthy cook so she twists recipes and add in/ remove certain ingredients.

We then decided to start on our group project and researched on whatever we had to do. Not gona talk about that cause it's boring and we actually finished it quite quickly haha! Jo suggested making dessert so we settled for Butterscotch lava cake with honeycomb and maple syrup cause chocolate lava cake is too mainstream. She's been wanting to try this recipe for quite awhile so she was really eager to see how it turns out!

And it's a success! It wasn't overcooked or undercooked, the 'lava' flowed out nicely and it was picture perfect. You know how you counter the sweetness of chocolate with cocoa? Well you don't really have smth like that to counter butterscotch so it was a little too sweet. I guess it'll appeal to all the sweet tooths out there!

As if this wasn't enough, we made peanut butter cookies too! I was looking through Jo's IG (@joleneeex3)(You guys should follow her for more food updates btw) and I casually commented that the peanut butter cookies she made a few days back looks really chewy. Jo looked at me, smiled and said we should make it. Well folks that's the story of us. We cook, eat, take photos and the cycle repeats. I actually didn't help out much in the making of the chicken breast and lava cake so I did the cookies.

I'm someone who you probably shouldn't trust in the kitchen. Haha I have nvr really cooked before so this was kind of a first! This time we swopped roles - She with the camera and me making cookies. The recipe was pretty easy to follow and soon enough, I can say that I know how to make peanut butter cookies :D

Major success! The cookies were really chewy, just the way I liked it. Really random but don't the cookies look like a gingerbread man in the last photo? Jolene refuses to admit that it does haha! The chocolate chips look like its eyes and I guess this cookiebread man has 5 arm/feet hehe. Ended the day with a few photos at the garden downstairs. The photos in the ootd post below is actually taken by Jolene. Huge thanks Jo! (:

Stripy Thursday!

My very first oufit post with my new haircut! I'm pretty sure I chopped off at least 6 inches of hair. After spending a loooooong 4.5h at the salon, my hair is finally rescued and it has nvr looked healthier before! Saying bye to frizzy, thick hair and hello to breezy, bouncy curls :D

Recently, I've really been into monochrome. Black and white just seems really cool to me right now haha! Today's post features a basic stripe tank top and a mesh skirt which I absolutely adore. If you look really closely, the stripes on the top is actually dark blue and not black. I actually didn't notice this when I wore it. It was only in the bus when I noticed that it's actually blue haha! Yeah I'm quite blur at times. But from far, it does look like it's black so I guess that kinda matches with my monochrome outfit in mind.

I've always avoided skirts which ends below my knees because I feel that they make me look shorter. I'm alr tiny enough and it absolutely doesn't make sense to dress to look even tinier haha!  This skirt has been in my wardrobe for a few months now and I'm so glad I finally wore it out. I just can't resist the mesh material! It gives a mix vibe of gothic and ballerina. I actually don't think this makes me look shorter (hopefully I'm right!) I love how it blows when the wind blows but because of the inner lining, I don't have to be afraid of exposing myself haha! Definitely a keeper.

I actually had quite a hard time choosing an accessory today. Whenever I can't decide on an accessory, I'll end up wearing this bracelet. Sometimes minimal accessory are those that makes a bold statement. Just a little rule I go by when accessorising(:

Monochrome.

On days when I have no idea what to wear, I like to go back to wearing my basics and dressing in black and white. Going monochrome is smth that will nvr grow old. Yes, it was really in last season and it somehow stuck with a majority of us. Up till now, I always see people dressed in black and white and to be honest, why not? Black and white are 2 very basic colours which go really well together.

This outfit I put together isn't really me. Don't get me wrong, I do like the look but I'm someone who wears cute little dresses with floral prints haha! I felt a little more mature today but weirdly enough, I'm starting to like this. Maybe I should give my wardrobe a makeover (or maybe just steal my sister's clothes) and stop dressing like I'm P5 hehe.

I'm so glad cause I'm finally able to wear LB's Carenza crop top! So much love for it. I'm just absolutely in love with crop tops because they're so versatile and perfect for sunny Singapore! I'm wearing a size S and the fit is perfect! The material is really comfy as well. It's somewhat body hugging but it definitely isn't super tight. Most body hugging apparels kind of suffocates you but this one doesn't so thumbs up!

Funny story. So a month back, I bought this skirt from Bershka. I was really contemplating on whether I should get the skirt because of its super inappropriate length. I got it in the end because it was too cute to resist haha! I thought to myself today when I grow older, I probably won't be able to wear short skirts anymore so if I don't wear them now, I won't have a chance to. #shortskirtdon'tcare (: I always wonder how others wear this skirt when even I find it short. (I'm really tiny size haha) Like it's short even for me... It kind of restricted my movements today because I couldn't take wide strides and I had to be super conscious when I was outdoors. Really had a fear that the wind will blow my skirt up haha! But the length aside, I really do like this skirt because it makes your legs look slimmer and longer yay!

So today marks the last ootd post with my mega long hair. Going to chop off my hair tmr! So excited and nervous at the same time. Putting my faith and trust in Eerie that he will so smth nice with my hair.

PS. Bought a new scarf from Zara from shopping today :D

Bohemian

Felt like going Bohemian yesterday so here's a cute little outfit I put tgt. I wore this out to Orchard and I'm pretty sure I attracted quite a few stares oops. Haha ok but it's always fun to try out smth new.

Overall, I was quite happy with the look but the dress caused me so many problems. I've nvr been disappointed by a TTR apparel before so this is a first :/ This dress definitely looks prettier on their website. It crumples really easily which is such a turn off. After shopping for 7h, the dress pretty much looked like it wasn't ironed at all haha! I have no idea why but the straps kept slipping off my shoulders as well. This happened when my sister wore it too. Length wise, it was a little short for me so I guess that means it's really, really short for taller girls. White is slightly sheer as well but that's still acceptable. With that being said, if I were to look at the overall appearance of the dress, it's definitely unique because you don't really see blogshops coming up with dresses like this. They would usually sell skater dresses or basics so kudos to TTR's owners for coming up with this design(:

To the most important part of the outfit, MADLY IN LOVE WITH TCL'S BOOTIES. Mentioned that I shopped for 7h above and wow, my feet weren't aching at all! I was really prepared to get blisters before I left the house but this pair of booties definitely surprised me! In fact, after shopping for so long, everyone was super tired except for me. I was still up for a few more hours of shopping but it was alr late and the shops were closing hahaha. It's really stable and I foresee myself taking public transport in it. Normally I don't wear heels when I take public transport cause I can't really balance myself in them. This is definitely a keeper and I'm so glad I got it! (: I'm calling this my shopping heels. I really can't express how much I love this pair of shoes here. It's just too comfortable and definitely worth its price.

Well I was going for a bohemian kind of look so I tied a waterfall braid and thought it would be fun to have feathers in my hair. I've actually had this feather extension for a year and a half now but it's my first time wearing it haha! Last year, there was a period of time where I was super into feathers (please don't ask my why haha) so I stocked up on feather hair accessories. Nvr found a time to wear most of them out though so I'm glad I finally wore this one out! After a year, the feathers are still intact and it still looks pretty(:

So what do you think of my overall outfit? The first thing Rifdi said when he saw me what "You look like an Indian princess" Haha! Definitely was fun dressing up this way but I'm currently in the mood for layering and knits so here's saying bye bye to sleeveless tops for awhile. The more important reason is actually really cause I'm going to cut my hair and I can't hide my tan line anymore ): My hair is really long and heavy to the point where I can't bun it up or tie a pony tail without it drooping down an hour ltr. So bye bye to my long hair and fingers crossed that my new hairstyle will turn out well!

On a really random note, my mum and I seem to be wearing matching ootds. It's purely coincidental that we were both in white, had poofy sleeves and crochet details.
