Editor's Look

Haven't done up an outfit post for quite some time so here's one! (:

I've had this top for quite some time but nvr found an opportunity to wear it! Finally decided to wear it out on the last day of March hols. This top comes in an open back version as well which my sister owns in black. Personally, I'm ok with wearing such tops if I'm gng out with my family cause that means that we'll have a car to drive around in. But I don't feel really comfortable sitting in buses and trains alone haha! So I'm glad I bought the tank version so that I can wear it on day outs with my friends!

I have nth but raves for this skirt from The Tinsel Rack! I've had such a hard time choosing between the colours actually. London blue seemed like such a unique colour but red also looked so pretty on Joyce! Finally decided on brown because I don't own any skirts in this colour. I have a few in red and one in blue so that was really how I made up my mind on this colour haha! The cutting is superb and the length is just nice! Definitely a keeper and I forsee myself wearing it out super soon.

And don't you just love the pouch! I fell in love with it the minute I saw it! Funny story behind it actually. I'm not sure if you guys can tell but this is actually a make up pouch. I was at Forever New with Dian Zi over the March hols. I went in to the shop wanting to look a prom dresses but ended up looking at bags. There were a few that caught my attention but this was the one I wanted! But it was a make up pouch so like ... haha! Still got it in the end and used it as a bag instead of putting make up (which I honestly don't own cause applying make up takes up too much time and I'm so lazy)

Have a lovely weekend everyone!

March Updates!

Pardon the mini hiatus guys but I've been so busy the past 2 weeks that I haven't had time to sit down and blog! I'm not kidding when I say busy. My sister was saying how she always see my studying or sleeping by the time she gets home. March has been one heck of a month!

1. Common Test
So the first big exam of the year is here and I've nvr felt the compelling need to study so much before! It actually feels as if I've spent more time studying for my CTs this year than promos! Which is quite ironic if you think about it because other than Maths and Lit, I had lesser topics to study for this time round. Well, I'm glad all my hard work paid off (:

2. Parents' 25th Wedding Anniversary!
To celebrate this joyous occasion, my parents brought us for a buffet at Crowne Plaza! That's the hotel at Terminal 3. It was in the midst of my exams actually but it was such a coincidence that I could go! My exams were on Mon, Tues, Wed and Friday. That mean that I don't have to go to school on Thurs. It just so happens that my parents anniversary fell on Wed which means... no school the next day! Yay! I've blogged more about here it if you're interested

3. Brunch at Chock Full of Beans
To celebrate the end of exams, I made a date with my sister to check out Chock Full of Bean! I was really drawn to their 3D coffee art cause it really looks uber cute. After finding out that it was really near our house, I was even more excited to go! More picture of it here!

4. Meetup with Dian Zi!
This is something that particularly made me happy this month! For those of you who don't know, Dian Zi is one of my absolute good friend there is! We were from the same class in sec 3 and 4 and she made those 2 years worth it(: Unfortunately, I haven't met her after graduating due to our busy schedules so I'm so glad we finally could find time to meet up with one another! I predict another outing coming up soon in June!

5. Aunt's visit to Singapore
Both my aunts came over for a holiday during my March hols as well. We mostly spent our time playing mahjong (Yip family are mahjong addicts) and taking photos! My dad and I also brought them to places such as S.E.A Aquarium (I'll blog about it soon!) and Orchard to show them a little bit of Singapore. Can't wait to go back to Hong Kong at the end of the year to visit them!

Aunt's visit to Singapore!

Hello all! Hope you're surviving the first week of school if you're a student haha! I've actually fallen ill on the first week and that's quite a bummer but I'm feeling a lot better today and will be able to go to school tmr! (:

Last week, 2 of my aunts came over to Singapore for a visit! They arrived on Thursday and left on Monday. It was quite an eventful week with them over cause my parents planned things to do and all. Not to mention the crazy amount of mahjong we played. Smth about the Yip family, we play mahjong... a lot. I'm quite sure I started as young as 7. Hahaha I sound like some crazy gambler but yeah. I guess it's cause we're from Hong Kong and ppl there play a lot of mahjong. For us, it's kind of like a time to bond. Think of it as your family time out for dinner or playing monopoly.

Well on Thurs, they arrived in the afternoon so they had a short nap before gng out for dinner! We had a simple dinner at  a hawker centre at Tampines. We ordered chilli crab, black pepper crab, cereal prawn, vege, tofu and buns. I think that's about it!

On Friday, my mum and sister both had to go to work while my brother had to do a project with his friends so it was just me, my dad and both my aunts. We decided to go to Fullerton Hotel to take some photos! It's opposite MBS, where the Merlion is! Despite coming to Singapore so many times, both my aunts have actually nvr been there before! So my dad brought them there and we spent about an hr being all tourist and taking photos. Being a tourist in my own country haha!

After which, we went out to shop at Orchard! I actually saw a really pretty pair of shorts at Pull&Bear but I didn't get it and I regret it so much now! Going to go out to Orchard today to see if it's still available. Oh! I'm also really happy cause I tried on size 22 for the pair of shorts and it fits perfectly! I'm a usual waist 24 so that means I lost weight yay! Well at my waist at least! My brother and I also went to buy TWG macaroons. My favourite has got to be the caramel one! It's their best seller actually and now I'm craving for some

For dinner, we went to Pow Sing at Serangoon Gardens for their awesome chicken rice! And at night, we taught our aunts how to play Singapore mahjong. They usually play the Hong Kong one so I guess it's smth new for them.

Btw, does my dress look familiar? I wore the same dress in white to Mr. Goh's wedding! The cut was so flattering that I bought the one in blue too hehe. You can read more about it here!

Well for Sat, we went out to the airport to have Crystal Jade! I just love dim sum haha!

The fun part came after lunch! My aunts decided to teach us how to play Taiwan mahjong and wow, it's so much more fun! Personally, I think it's more fun then the other types of mahjong I know. A little on Taiwan mahjong, instead of starting with 13 tiles, you start with 16. And you don't stack the tiles up but instead, place them one row up, one row down. We got the hang of it really fast and ended up playing 20 rounds. 20 rounds. Yes, 20 rounds. That's the most I've played since forever! The maximum I play is 16 rounds haha! When we swopped seats for the 17th round, all our arms and neck were aching but it was just too much fun to stop!

On Sunday, we went to S.E.A Aquarium! I'll be doing a blogspot about it soon so I shan't talk much about it here! Did you know you can swim with the dolphins for $248!!! It's quite expensive but I wana gooooooooo. I love dolphins hehe.

Preppy

Story behind this top. So I was out at Orchard last weekend and I went to Stradivarius to check out their new collection! Tried on this top and fell in love with it instantly. I actually think it has got to do with the fact that I have bangs as weird as that sounds. It just looks so much more adorable haha! But I didn't get it then cause I just went on a crazy shopping spree the day before and didn't really want to spend that much money. So I resisted the urge to shop and went for dinner instead. Halfway through, I couldn't resist and left to get the top haha!

I also recently bought this skirt from LB. I was a little hesitant at first cause I'm in between sizes. The problem with me is that my waist is a size XS while my hips are size S. So if I get smth in size S, the waist will be too loose for me. Can you feel my painnnnn (inserts sobbing emoji). But I couldn't really care that much cause I needed to cart out before everything gets oos! Since my sister got the one in size S, I got the XS one and I'm glad I did! The waist is just nice for me and the material is stretchy actually so my hips fit fine(:

I really love the textures of both the top and skirt (as you can see from the last photo). Was gng for a preppy kind of look and went with brown accessories. In this case, earrings, bag and shoes. I think I somewhat look like a school kid too? Haha! Definitely going to rewear the top and skirt someday cause it's just so structured and comfy! It looks like what you'd get at Zara actually in my opinion(:

This set of photos were all taken by Dian Zi! Thanks for braving the weather and running around with me(:
