Spring Awakening

Hey guys! I wore this comfy outfit to the Love Bonito's sale today. My sister and I actually went there an hour earlier and as expected, there alr was quite a long queue. Which explains why I chose to wear shorts today because we had to sit on the floor hahaha.

I wasn't sure what shorts to wear at first but I saw this pair of culottes hidden underneath all my clothes. It's actually brand new but I wear planning to sell it cause I didn't know what top to wear to match it. I was just staring at my clothes when I saw this yellow blouse which I haven't worn for quite awhile! Tried it on and tadah! I had my outfit for the day.

This outfit was definitely super comfy and laid back. Perfect for queuing for an hour hehehe. It felt so summery and breezy. I originally bought the shorts because of the pretty floral prints. Just look at it. How can one resist it? It's perfect for a lazy kind of day and definitely for a sunny country like Singapore. The colour is quite light but definitely not boring. You can actually spot the culottes from quite a distance away.

I chose this bag because I brought my econs book with me to study! (I actually didn't study in the end and ended up playing Fun Run lol) Okay but at least I had the thought of trying to study. Moreover, this tote matches the look I was going for because the prints of it are floral and had butterflies as well. It's something that you look at and go omg, Angie would love this.

In case any of you are wondering, I didn't get anything from the sale ): The clothes there were not as nice as I expected but my sister did get quite a few items. She actually got a neon pink clutch and I can't wait to use it!

Weekend Escape

As the title of this post suggest, I wore this laid back outfit for the weekend! I wore it to Pasarbella actually and was inspired by Aimee Song. I'm a huge fan of all her outfits and how she loves to wear white on white or denim on denim. I wanted to wear this top with a pair of white crochet shorts but it didn't look as good as I thought it would. Oh well, settled for the next best thing. A pair of white denim shorts from Zara!

This pair of shorts is actually my sister's and it was a little big for me. Hence I needed to wear a belt with it. I actually thought the belt fit the look so yay! The prints on the shorts are just too pretty. One of my favourite shorts. The colours are very pastel and perfect for summer too! What I absolutely love is that even though the colours are very pastel, it stands out!

The theme I had in mind was to go with mainly white and gold which explains the choice of accessories. A gold ring and a white and gold bracelet for the day :D I obviously have gained weight from the amount of food I eat so I really need to start exercising again. Guess who's gona be up for a jog tmr night?

2nd Trip To Pasarbella!

I am back with yet another post on Pasarbella. For those who haven't read my previous post, read it here! I know it hasn't been a long time since I've been there but my brother has been wanting to go there ever since he saw my photos. My dad was in town last weekend so we thought why not go Pasarbella for lunch? My parents have also nvr been there before so it would be a new experience for them.

This post won't be as lengthy as the previous one if not it'd be quite repetitive. I'd just talk about some new food which I've tried. This time, I actually took some photos of The Cheese Ark and went up to the 2nd lvl to try and take a photo of the place!

Upon arriving, the first shop we went to was of course, The Cheese Ark. My sister and I thought it'd be funny to see the expression on my parents' faces when they smelled the cheese hehehe. It'd be a nice opportunity for me to snap some photos for you guys as well! As expected, the very first thing they commented on was the smell of the cheese. They actually had free samples for customers to try but I didn't dare try it cause I nvr was a fan of smelly cheese. Do let me know if you ever try it!

We walked round to see what food we should get for lunch. On my previous trip to Pasarbella, there was actually a portion which I didn't get to go to. It's kind of at the end of Pasarbella(near the ice cream shop) and they have proper restaurants over there. We walked along the shops to see if there was anything we would like to get but decided to eat in Pasarbella instead. The shops there are your normal restaurants you see in malls so there wasn't really anything special. More for the elderly and families with young children I guess.

After walking around, we finally sat down to have lunch. We sat on the 2nd floor because we couldn't find seats on the 1st floor. It was quite crowded that day cause it was a weekend. We ordered pretty much the same food as we did before. The food we had then was too good and my family needed to try it. We shared the food except the crepes cause that's mine. Allllll mineeeeee. Ok, I gave them all a bite but that's all they're gona get cause I'm in love with it. My sister was just laughing at me the whole time.

The only thing different this time was our drinks and that we ordered kebabs. My dad ordered a Cappuccino and my siblings ordered 2 sodas. They were pink grapefruit and peach if I'm not wrong. I didn't try the kebab cause I'm not a fan of it. I don't think it was as good as we thought it would. My parents didn't comment on the Kebab and they usually comment when it tastes good so I guess it wasn't that good :/ The Crepes, Paella and drinks were all from the same stall so it was quite convenient for us.

Doesn't the Cappuccino look good?

And then the food hunt continued... We walked past the ice cream shop and my mum wanted to get some. We were trying a lot of their flavours hehehe. In the end, we got 4 scoops! That's the good thing about having siblings, you get to try the flavours they pick! With the exception of my brother, we had a hard time deciding on what flavours to get. My brother knew what he wanted cause he had seen my photo of the flavour Superman and he knew he wanted to get it. Honestly it's cause it's really colourful. He didn't even have to try it to know that he would like to have it. My father got Darker Than Fudge, mummy got Oreo Horlicks and I ordered the Salted Caramel! Recently, I want Salted Caramel everything! Jolene actually baked a Salted Caramel Tart for me today!! (If you're reading this, love love hehehe) My sister and I felt that the Salted Caramel ice cream was the best!

(Didn't manage to take a pic of the other 2 flavours cause my dad was busy devouring it like a 6 year old)

This time, a cupcake stall caught my attention as well. The cupcakes were so colourful and look sooo fluffy! They were selling 1 for $3.50. Unfortunately, I have just finished my ice cream and was too full to try any. Did take photos of it though!

We also went to the entrance to take a photo with the Pasarbella sign! A little hard to take a photo with it cause it was on the road and cars kept passing by. Some kind drivers did stop to allow us to take a photo but we asked them to drive along first cause we felt bad hahaha!

I almost forgot! Here's a photo that I took on the 2nd floor of the place. This is just a part of Pasarbella to give you guys an idea of how it looks!

Whimsical Bloom

One of the rare times you'll see me wearing heels! Recently bought this pair of heels from Love Bonito. I've been searching for a pair of plain white heels at a reasonable price for the longest time ever! This pair is actually a birthday present from my brother :D Yeah I know, my brother is pretty awesome.

I'm a size 36 for flats and a 35 for heels. This pair is a little loose for me actually because the grip isn't really good. This is due to the thin straps of the shoes. Originally, it was quite comfy to walk in but I got a blister towards the end. Then again, I was standing for 4h straight hahaha. Probably will only wear it when there's a special occasion or little walking is required. Nevertheless, I don't regret this buy because the heels are just too pretty! My sister actually bought 1 in white and 1 in blue.

Now let's talk about the dress. I've bought this from Lacepipe quite awhile back. 3 months actually if I'm not wrong but I nvr had the chance to buy it. What caught my attention was definitely the floral prints. I'm a sucker for pretty prints like this. Moreover, the shade of blue and white matches perfectly! Oh and for the cherry on top, it comes with a ribbon for you to tie at the back! Too cute alr. My only concern is the length of this dress. This is probably a shock to you guys knowing how tiny I am. This is actually the shortest dress I own and I honestly have no idea how others wear it as a dress. I means you could wear it with shorts but it'd be at an awkward length and won't look that good. At times like this I'm thankful for my height cause I can wear it as a dress haha!

Some of you guys have asked me where I got my clutch from. Well.... I got it from The Tinsel Rack! I'm not sure if they still have it but a few blog shops carry it. I saw it on missypixie and lacepipe as well. This clutch it definitely my favourite clutch of the season. It's casual and elegant all at the same time. The one I got comes with the inner pouch. If you want to go for a classy kind of look, I wouldn't use the pouch but just the clutch itself. The pouch makes it more casual. It comes with a detachable strap as well so it can be a sling!

I had a theme in mind when I was dressing up and it was to try to stick to white and blue. I couldn't find any white bracelet that would fit this outfit so I went with the next best thing, a sliver one! When I asked my sister to help me hook the bracelet, she laughed and said that that's the most expensive bracelet she owns. Oopsy hehe.

I was dressed this way because I was going for my sister's convocation! She is finally a graduate of NUS :D Proud sister over here!

Squirrel Bites

Met up with Natalie whom I haven't seen for 7 months cause she's studying in Australia! So lucky to be able to study overseas and gain a whole new experience. She's back in Aussie now and it's gona be months before I see her again ): Happy that we were able to find time to meet up when she was back in Sg for 2 weeks though. Met up with her to catch up on Friday and had a really good chat.

After dinner at Secret Recipe, I wanted to have dessert. I was afraid she'd be full though cause she finished her whole meal. Surprisingly, she was up for dessert! Apparently living in Australia has made her appetite bigger. The portions there are huge! But yay! We finally got to try out a place I've been wanting to try for a long time.

Remember a few post back when I went out with Yazmin to Vivo? I saw this little shop called Squirrel Bites that sold desserts. We didn't try it then cause we were too full alr. At first, I wasn't sure what dessert they sold. It kind of looks like pancakes but also like doughnuts. Who cares. As long as it's dessert, I'm up for it!

This is what I got and look at the size of it!!! Huge right? Now you must be wondering how much it cost. I thought it was quite cheap! It was only $5.50! It's quite worth it for the huge portion. I ordered the Sandy Trio(Nutella, Banana, Coconut flakes) and it was soooo sinful. I felt like I was eating 100g of fats with every bite but it's Friday! Friday calls for a celebration and I celebrated it with food.

This is actually a special fried pastry dough that is chewy on the outside and cripsy on the inside - coated in cinnamon sugar and tapped with delectable condiments. Sounds good right?

Here's what Nat got. She ordered Peaches and Nata Decoco with Vanilla ice cream. Btw, they use Ben and Jerry for the ice cream! Yum yum. Ben and Jerry's are the best! I actually have 2 tubs in the fridge waiting to be eaten hohoho.

You know how I said that mine cost $5.50? Well it would be if you got it alone. There is a promotion going on and you can ordered one of mine and Nat's one at only $6.50!!! It's so worth it. You pay an extra $1 and you can get a scoop of Ben and Jerry's ice cream with some toppings. We both split the cost so it was only $3.25 per person! Such a great deal. I thought $5.50 was cheap but omg, now it's only $3.25! You guys totally need to check it out.

The only downside to this place is that it's pretty small. It had 1 long table with about 6 stools for you to dine in. Luckily for us, the place was empty when we went so we got a seat :D But it'll be a real bummer if there isn't any seats. It's okay to walk around and eat it if you get ice cream but if you get something like mine, it would be quite a hassle. There was also only 1 staff managing the place so if it gets crowded, it might be quite a wait.

There are a few promotions going on and here's another one!

Overall, I found this place really price friendly and give it a 8/10!

Wimbly Lu

Been wanting to check out Wimbly Lu for about 3 months now but never got to it because my list of 'Food I want to eat' is way too long. I finally managed to plan a lunch date with some of my classmates to Wimbly Lu after our Econs lecture. Btw, our lecture was a make up for Youth Day which I honestly don't get cause it's meant to be a holiday...

We took a bus to Nex and walked over to Wimbly Lu. The walk was about 10 mins long actually and it would have been really boring if we hadn't been playing Heads Up the whole time(Crazily addicted to it) We kept playing the music category and I'm sure we were a public nuisance hahaha! Or maybe our wonderful voices were serenading the strangers around us. Do keep in mind that the walk there it isn't sheltered so bring an umbrella if it's raining! And try not to go under the scorching, hot sun either.

Upon arriving, we were seated at a corner. We were seating on the sofas actually and it was really cosy. Furthermore, the place where we were seated is rather dim so it's a really nice place to talk. Well instead of talking we were playing Heads Up while waiting for our food. Speaking about food, that's kind of the main point of this post right? When I saw the menu, I wanted to order half the food they had. Best part? Breakfast was available till 2pm and we arrived at around 1pm! Breakfast for lunch for all of us :D Here are some photos of the entrance

Doesn't all the food look tempting? Now you know what I mean by spoilt by choices. We decided to order different food so that we can try a little of everything! Let's start by talking about the main course.

 Lasagne ($13.50)

This picture definitely doesn't do this Lasagne justice. Doesn't look good on cam but definitely taste wayyyyy better. The portion is quite big so I'm glad Jolene and I decided to share it. It was served piping hot(yay!) and it was pretty good. If you're planning of having desserts(must must must have), maybe you should share this with someone so that you won't be too full. After all, Lasagne isn't really a breakfast sort of meal.

Garlic Mushroom and Mozzarella Crepe ($9)

For all you cheese and garlic lovers out there, this is definitely for you. This was ordered by Joel and all of us got to try it. My first reaction after trying it was omg, the cheese is crazy. It was really cheesy which is good to me cause I love eating cheese. The garlic taste was pretty strong too so you should only order if you like garlic as well.

Bacon and Egg Crepe ($9)

When I saw this on the menu, I knew Jia Lin had to get it. JL, if you're reading this, I know you too well. She's always talking about bacon and bacon and more bacon. Hahaha! A little disappointed though cause the bacon was cut into really small pieces and you can't really taste it. The egg was quite alright though. It looks really plain in this picture but that's cause the filling is in the middle.

Smoked Salmon and Scrambled Egg on Toast ($6/11)

There are 2 prices for this dish because you could choose if you wanted 1 or 2 toast. John ordered this dish and of course he had 2 toasts cause he's John(hahaha sorry not sorry) Okay but I'm glad he ordered 2 cause I'd feel really bad if I ate it cause the portion was really small. So we all got to try a little and I thought this was the best main course out of those we ordered. The toast was toasted just nice and the egg was real good! It's not a really filling meal so it's more of a breakfast or tea time kind of meal. Well this was under the breafast section actually so I can understand the small portion.

Now.... time for the best part! DESSERT TIME! All of us except Joel ordered desserts :D Wimbly Lu is famous for desserts actually so how can you go there and not get desserts?!

Root Beer Cake with Vanilla Ice Cream ($6)

This dessert is pretty special actually cause there's root beer in it. The root beer taste it pretty strong too! I have a feeling my little brother would love this hahaha. Best way to eat it? Scoop the ice cream, cake and dip it in the root beer sauce below hohoho. Don't eat this separately k!

Rocky Road ($5)

A little embarrassed to say this but we all thought Rocky Road was an ice cream. John was expecting and ice cream and he got this instead. However, he was so happy it was a cake instead! There's marshmallows and nuts in it which makes it super yummy. We were all having a hard time trying to cut it though cause it was pretty hard. I thought that the marshmallow bit was the best! Might be a little too sweet though for some of you if you eat the whole cake. For those with a sweet tooth, just eat it all hahaha!

Crepe with Salted Caramel Ice Cream ($7.50)

TIME FOR THE HIGHLIGHT OF THE DAY! This was definitely the best dessert we had and the best waffles I have ever had in my life! Not exaggerating. If you're going to Wimbly Lu, the waffles is a must have. It was really crispy and words can't describe how good it is. It's actually recommended by Ladyironchef actually which is why Jolene and I got it hahaha. There are a few choices for ice cream and syrup but we got maple syrup and Salted Caramel ice cream because maple syrup is the best and I just love Salted Caramel ice cream. Btw, I just had Salted Caramel ice cream at Pasarbella today hehehe. The next time I go to Wimbly Lu, I'd definitely order this again.

Now let's talk about the service there. Everyone was really friendly. We were actually trying to call for a cab cause we were late for our movie and one of the waitress noticed. She told us that smsing would be a lot faster so we took her advice! I love going to places like these.

The photos are not as clear because we were seated near the entrance which is pretty dim. If you go further in, it's really bright actually and hopefully I'd be seated there the next time so that I can take some clearer photos. However the dim lighting made the place really cozy and the sofas we sat on was perfect to talk to friends. I took some photos of the inner part too.

Oh! I almost forgot. I saw the prettiest car parked right outside this place. Took a photo of it and I now have found my dream car :D

All good things come to an end right? Well this is the end of this post but definitely not the end of my food hunt! New food post on a price friendly dessert shop at Vivo soon!
