Saturday Day Out

So if you don't alr know.... GUESS WHO GOT BANGS hahahahha. Eri was so shocked when I told him that I wanted bangs for a change. Asked him if he thinks I'll be able to pull it off and he said yes cause I have a small face(?) haha but yeah. That's the story behind how I snipped off my long fringe. What do you think?

CTs are finally over and to celebrate, I went out for brunch with my sister and put tgt this outfit in 10 mins. It's really monochrome based with accents of gold here and there. Not smth that I'd usually wear but have always wanted to try out. Got this dress from TTR and I must say, I absolutely love TTR. Their apparels can always fit me really nicely which is quite rare considering how tiny I am. To all my petite girlfriends, you guys should shop there haha!

Now let's talk about shoes. Got this pair from LB awhile back and this is my first time wearing it out. I'm surprised that it didn't give me blisters but maybe that's cause I didn't walk round much. Definitely a keeper and it kind of reminds me of the shoes from Charles & Keith. I'm quite sure I've seen a few similar pairs there just that it's a little pricier than these. My stacking rings are from bxtwxxn and they're just so cute! Going to wear them when I go to Orchard ltr today!

New dress, new shoes, new rings, what's not to love?

Christmas Wonderland

If you haven't been to Orchard lately, you really should! Recently, they've put up a Christmas maze right outside Ion. It wasn't up yet when I went to Orchard last Thurs. It's just so full of Christmas spirit and everyone there were busy taking photos haha! Vic and I spent a good half an hr in the maze walking round taking photos. We kind of felt like we were photobombing everyone's photo just by walking around! I can't imagine the crowd there on weekends.

So I have a serious confession to make. I've had this skater skirt for more than 2 years and this is the very first time I'm wearing it out #confessionsofashopaholic101. In my defense, it was a little tight at the waist area when I first got it so I somewhat forgot about it. Recently I've lost some weight (yay!) and this skirt fits my perfectly now(: Pleasantly surprised. And I got this skirt for a whooping $10! I bought it in HK and now I'm feeling nostalgic about all the shopping experience back there. Can't wait for As to be over so that I can enjoy a good stay back in HK!

"Angie, stop buying knit wears. It's summer here." "It's ok, I'm creating my own winter." So this was kind of how the conv went between Nicole and I when we were shopping at Bugis street. My eyes were only attracted to knits. I just can't help it! It's so comfy and knits somehow lift my Christmas spirit. Well anw, speaking of Bugis street, I think I've been shopping online way too much. The clothes there just are so cheap! I bought this knit for only $15 but I'm pretty sure I would have to pay about $30 for it online. Lesson learnt! Unless an item is self manufactured, I should try finding it at Bugis Street cause they have almost everything hahaha!

The Marmalade Pantry

Met up with Kaixuan and Lynn today to have high tea at the Marmalade Pantry. I met Kaixuan in Korea back in sec 1 and I'm so glad we still keep in touch. Haven't seen him for 3 years and he still looks the same haha! Well the very first thing he said to me when he saw me was it's been 3 years and you still haven't grown. Oh well...

Cinnamon Spiced Apple Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting ($8)

Lynn and I both ordered the same cake. We spent such a long time deciding what to get cause all the desserts sound super good! We were deciding between a Smores cupcake, red velvet cupcake, bread pudding and this. In the end, we both settled for the same dessert, a slice of apple cake(: Don't be deceived by the portion. Both of us were super full from this 1 slice of cake. Personally, I feel that the cinnamon taste was more distinct than the apple. The frosting was also a little too much for the both of us. It became quite sweet towards the end. Probably would have been better if we both shared the cake.

 The Marmalade Carrot Cake ($8)

Here's what KX ordered. Both cakes are quite similar actually because of the cream cheese frosting. I guess his would be a little less sweet cause there isn't a layer of cream cheese within the cake. I had a bite of it and it wasn't too bad(: I preferred mine though cause I'm not really a huge fan of carrot cakes. Is it just me or does carrot cake just seem like the kind of cake guys order. My eyes were only drawn to words such as red velvet and chocolate haha!

Creme Caramel Caffe Latte ($7)

Lately, I'm super into anything caramel. It didn't take me long to decide what drink I want after looking at the super long list of drinks available. I still prefer Caramel Macchiato from Starbucks though. This one was a little too sweet for my liking.

After high tea, we roamed around Orchard and went shopping! Bought a cute little skirt from Stradivarius today and I can't wait to wear it out! We also went to Taka to take photo with the Christmas tree. Yes, we went to Taka for the sole purpose of taking a picture haha!

KX pretty much look like a giant next to me haha! We are about 30cm apart so.... well yeah. We spent the whole day talking about food, traveling and more food. Food just always pop into our conversation for some reason. We tried avoiding the topic cause we all felt so guilty but in the end, failed miserably.

And an ootd to end the post(: KX became my photographer of the day. If you're reading this, thank you! It's funny how I always take like 30 shots before I find a perfect one but he only needed to take 2 yay! I'm in a maroon skater dress from Lilypirates today. I just absolutely adore basic skater dresses. They're just so comfy and perfect for days where you're too lazy to match a top and a bottom.

Stripy Thursday!

My very first oufit post with my new haircut! I'm pretty sure I chopped off at least 6 inches of hair. After spending a loooooong 4.5h at the salon, my hair is finally rescued and it has nvr looked healthier before! Saying bye to frizzy, thick hair and hello to breezy, bouncy curls :D

Recently, I've really been into monochrome. Black and white just seems really cool to me right now haha! Today's post features a basic stripe tank top and a mesh skirt which I absolutely adore. If you look really closely, the stripes on the top is actually dark blue and not black. I actually didn't notice this when I wore it. It was only in the bus when I noticed that it's actually blue haha! Yeah I'm quite blur at times. But from far, it does look like it's black so I guess that kinda matches with my monochrome outfit in mind.

I've always avoided skirts which ends below my knees because I feel that they make me look shorter. I'm alr tiny enough and it absolutely doesn't make sense to dress to look even tinier haha!  This skirt has been in my wardrobe for a few months now and I'm so glad I finally wore it out. I just can't resist the mesh material! It gives a mix vibe of gothic and ballerina. I actually don't think this makes me look shorter (hopefully I'm right!) I love how it blows when the wind blows but because of the inner lining, I don't have to be afraid of exposing myself haha! Definitely a keeper.

I actually had quite a hard time choosing an accessory today. Whenever I can't decide on an accessory, I'll end up wearing this bracelet. Sometimes minimal accessory are those that makes a bold statement. Just a little rule I go by when accessorising(:

Monochrome.

On days when I have no idea what to wear, I like to go back to wearing my basics and dressing in black and white. Going monochrome is smth that will nvr grow old. Yes, it was really in last season and it somehow stuck with a majority of us. Up till now, I always see people dressed in black and white and to be honest, why not? Black and white are 2 very basic colours which go really well together.

This outfit I put together isn't really me. Don't get me wrong, I do like the look but I'm someone who wears cute little dresses with floral prints haha! I felt a little more mature today but weirdly enough, I'm starting to like this. Maybe I should give my wardrobe a makeover (or maybe just steal my sister's clothes) and stop dressing like I'm P5 hehe.

I'm so glad cause I'm finally able to wear LB's Carenza crop top! So much love for it. I'm just absolutely in love with crop tops because they're so versatile and perfect for sunny Singapore! I'm wearing a size S and the fit is perfect! The material is really comfy as well. It's somewhat body hugging but it definitely isn't super tight. Most body hugging apparels kind of suffocates you but this one doesn't so thumbs up!

Funny story. So a month back, I bought this skirt from Bershka. I was really contemplating on whether I should get the skirt because of its super inappropriate length. I got it in the end because it was too cute to resist haha! I thought to myself today when I grow older, I probably won't be able to wear short skirts anymore so if I don't wear them now, I won't have a chance to. #shortskirtdon'tcare (: I always wonder how others wear this skirt when even I find it short. (I'm really tiny size haha) Like it's short even for me... It kind of restricted my movements today because I couldn't take wide strides and I had to be super conscious when I was outdoors. Really had a fear that the wind will blow my skirt up haha! But the length aside, I really do like this skirt because it makes your legs look slimmer and longer yay!

So today marks the last ootd post with my mega long hair. Going to chop off my hair tmr! So excited and nervous at the same time. Putting my faith and trust in Eerie that he will so smth nice with my hair.

PS. Bought a new scarf from Zara from shopping today :D

JFxLB Fashion Show!

I'm so so so excited to be blogging about the JFxLB Fashion Show cause it's the very first fashion show I've been too! There were so many celebs and even though it's been close to a week since the event, I'm still starstruck hehe! Saw celebs such as Fann Wong, Xu Bin, Ming Bridges, Xia Xue and many more!

Before the event, Jolene and I went to have dinner at Kraze Burger first. We wanted to go back to Hoshinoya for their awesome curry pot rice but the queue was too long and we didn't want to wait in heels :/ Kraze Burger didn't have a queue then so we went there!

We got to MBS at around 8.30pm and were afraid that we would be late at first! Turns out, the show started late so we ended up queuing for more than an hour. Thank god we had the company of each other and ended up talking about everything in the world to pass the time away haha! I also bumped into my ex piano teacher and her daughter there! Haven't seen her for years. Fancy seeing her at a fashion show.

When we were finally able to go in, we had to stand around the runway. That's when we saw all the celebs. They were seated right opposite us and it was super funny seeing all the reporters take photos of them. Especially when Fann Wong entered the place. The flashes were just everywhere!

Here's some photos from the fashion show(:

The set was really pretty with trees around and all. Kind of felt like I was in Europe during the fall season. The outfits were really pretty and Jolene and I found ourselves eyeing on a few designs. My favourite had to be a black tube maxi which I unfortunately don't have a photo of cause I couldn't capture it. It would be perfect for prom!

And here's us being us

Going to insert a short ootd!

Here's what I wore that day! Decided to go black, white and gold. Kind of felt like some Egyptian goddess haha! Cause the fashion show is by Love Bonito, I decided to wear smth that I got from their shop. The top is from LB and I really like it cause of the crochet details. I normally avoid corset tops cause I don't find them that flattering but the cutting of this top is really good. Paired it with a maxi skirt and heels. Matched it with Klarra's clutch cause it was black and gold :D I really love the gold backing of this clutch. Makes it look more elegant don't you think?

And my make up for the night!

Ok the first photo was without any makeup. I only had lip gloss on then. Then I went to Jolene's place and she wanted to help me apple makeup so tadah! Hahaha! Had such a fun time at her place(: We were youtubing videos on make up tutorials and playing around with them. Kind of felt like we were getting ready for prom or smth. It's like the typical scene you see in movies when girls get together and do all sorts of girly things haha!

Speaking of happy things, I am glad to say that Jolene, John, Cornelius and I all got promoted to JC2 and are all OGLs!!! I'm really looking forward to the year ahead and many more years after our JC lives with them. I love them very very much and can't imagine how different it would have been without any one of them. Beauty and the beasts forever!!
