Playful in Baroque

"I've nvr actually seen you with your hair down before" <- first thing Heyse said to me when she saw me last Tues afternoon. I guess it's quite true cause I often prefer tying my hair up. It's just so much neater and easier to manage when you have mega thick hair like mine. Guess it's time to pay my hairdresser a visit soon!

After much hunting, I've finally managed to find this pretty romper from a reseller! I originally bought it in S but it was wayyyy too small for me. I could zip it up and all but I couldn't breathe in it. Got it in M instead and it was a little loose here and there but I decided to wear it out anw cause it's too pretty to give a miss!

I also bought a matchy hairband just to match this romper. Quite silly right? Haha but I just thought it was really cute when I saw it in a shop the other day! What are the chances of finding a hairband in a similar print?! It's fate that I entered the shop and saw it haha!

Perfect brunch outfit and I'm starting to like the idea of letting my hair down and using a hairband to keep it in place. What do you think?

Editor's Look

Haven't done up an outfit post for quite some time so here's one! (:

I've had this top for quite some time but nvr found an opportunity to wear it! Finally decided to wear it out on the last day of March hols. This top comes in an open back version as well which my sister owns in black. Personally, I'm ok with wearing such tops if I'm gng out with my family cause that means that we'll have a car to drive around in. But I don't feel really comfortable sitting in buses and trains alone haha! So I'm glad I bought the tank version so that I can wear it on day outs with my friends!

I have nth but raves for this skirt from The Tinsel Rack! I've had such a hard time choosing between the colours actually. London blue seemed like such a unique colour but red also looked so pretty on Joyce! Finally decided on brown because I don't own any skirts in this colour. I have a few in red and one in blue so that was really how I made up my mind on this colour haha! The cutting is superb and the length is just nice! Definitely a keeper and I forsee myself wearing it out super soon.

And don't you just love the pouch! I fell in love with it the minute I saw it! Funny story behind it actually. I'm not sure if you guys can tell but this is actually a make up pouch. I was at Forever New with Dian Zi over the March hols. I went in to the shop wanting to look a prom dresses but ended up looking at bags. There were a few that caught my attention but this was the one I wanted! But it was a make up pouch so like ... haha! Still got it in the end and used it as a bag instead of putting make up (which I honestly don't own cause applying make up takes up too much time and I'm so lazy)

Have a lovely weekend everyone!

Dainty as a Flower

Here's what I wore for Christmas a few days back. This dress is actually my prom dress and this is my second time wearing it out! That means it was just hanging in my wardrobe for a year untouched haha! I just nvr found a special occasion to wear it.

Speaking of prom, I actually bought this dress 6 months before prom cause I didn't want to clash with others. Which explains why I'm hunting for a prom dress starting from now even though it's a year ltr. This is one of my favourite dresses from Miss Selfridge. It's just so dainty and perfect for a tea party! The little peek-a-boo in the middle was super fun too. I was secretly hoping that my prom theme in sec 4 would have smth to do with a tea party but it didn't turn out that way haha! Who cares, this dress still brought me lots of compliments(:

Just some of the many photos I took during prom(: You see the photo I took with the group of girls? Those are my awesome dancer buddies! I miss them so much and our meet up is long overdue! Really need to catch up with them soon.

Well anw, how was everyone's boxing day? I was out at vivo that day and there were massive sales gng on everywhere! I didn't buy anything that day though cause they didn't have my size. In order to cheer myself up, I came home and bought a TTR romper online haha! Can't wait to receive it!

Floral Dreams

I am so so so glad I finally got a chance to wear this floral bustier out. It's been almost a month since I bought it and I nvr found an opportunity to wear it out. The situation now is pretty much I shop faster than I can wear my new clothes hahaha!

So today I had a shopping date with my bb, Lynn, and here's a comfy little outfit I put tgt. It's always important to ensure that you're comfortable with what you're wearing when you're going to shop for long hours. I mean you wouldn't want to be walking awkwardly the whole time right? Hahaha a little embarrassed to say this but that has actually happened to me before.

This dress is padded at the bust area so it's definitely a good buy for those who aren't as well-endowed. The inner lining is really unique as well. Normally, an inner lining will be a short, straight cut cloth but for this dress, it comes with a poof! I'm not kidding when I say poof. The inner lining reminds me of the corset dresses women use to wear in the past haha! It's really cute though cause it gives your dress an extra poof which is definitely a head turner. I'm letting this dress go though cause I have too many clothes haha! Drop me an email if you're interested! (:

Shoes wise, I'm in my comfy, trusty TCL booties which gave me no trouble at all! Really one of the best buy I every purchased.  On a side note, I'm flying off to Shanghai in 2 days and I'm so excited to share with you guys the places that I will be visiting and expect 7 days worth of winter outfit posts! (:

TAL: Opposition

How do you feel about a mash up of styles? Today's post features a mash up of a feminine top with a little street chic twist. If you've been really observant, yes, I did blog about the exact same top in white which you can read about it here! So I won't be talking about the quality of this top but more of its style(:

Personally, I prefer the white version to the black one because I'm a fan of light coloured tops. Nth wrong with black but I tend to have darker coloured bottoms so it would be harder for me to find smth to match it with. Today, I went with my basic blue skater and added a cap and wedge shoes for a street chic look. You could also pair it with a pair of denim shorts for a more casual look.

Once in awhile, I like to try smth new and I always thought that a skirt with a pair of sneakers can look effortlessly chic and edgy. It's different from your usual sandals and pumps which makes a whole outfit girly. Hence, today's outfit (: Recently, I've been super into laser prints and my next outfit post will also feature a laser cut out dress so do look out for it!

Do check out TAL's Facebook page here and follow them on instagram at @theangelslabel for updates!

PS. Yesterday I went to the JFxLB fashion show which I'll blog about soon! Saw so many celebs yesterday and I'm still star stuck haha!

TAL: Key-Hole

I always say that basics are a must have in every girl's wardrobe. Even though it's worth having dresses for special occasions, I still believe that basics are the most important apparels ever. That's the number 1 shopping rule I live by. There's always a reason to buy basics(: Be it that it's easier to mix and match, perfect for casual day out with your loved ones or just an outfit for school. Basics are a necessity.

If you're someone like me who hates re wearing outfits (I know this is a serious problem btw haha but I can't help it), basics are your best option because it's just so easy and fun to mix and match. What's more, you get to portray a different side of you when you pair it differently. Take this top for example. It's a really basic piece but it's versatility always amazes me. For something a little girlier, you could always opt to pair it with a skater skirt just like what I did in the photos above. I chose a white skater skirt for the simple reason that there's white on the top which btw, I absolutely love.

On casual days, you could opt for something like this.

Here's what I wore for the Afamggtvdlp warehouse sale. As the term 'warehouse sale' suggest, I was expecting a lot of ppl and so a skirt might not be the best option. For casual days like this, pair this basic top with a pair of denim and you're good and ready to go. I would wear it this way if I was going to a beach or bringing my doggies for a walk as well. I chose a yellow bag for that day because I wanted a pop of colour. Bright and sunny yellow always brightens up a day(:

Now to show you smth a little more classy.

This top isn't the one from TAL but it's smth similar. I just wanted to illustrate the fact that a simple top like this can be turned into something a little more formal. Just pair of with a maxi skirt and your favourite clutch and all's good. In case you're wondering, I actually wore this ensemble to Phantom of the Opera (which you can read here) before I managed to get my hands on TAL's top. If I had gotten this top earlier, I would have worn it cause it will stand out more due to the white colour at the collar.

Needless to say, I absolutely adore basics like TAL's top because of its versatility. It gives me more room to explore different type of styles which a printed dress wouldn't allow. Nowadays, I find myself buying more tops and bottoms and not dresses. I'm still in love with dresses but the problem with it is that it's really obvious when you're re wearing it. That really bugs me a lot haha!

Do check out TAL's Facebook page here and follow them on instagram at @theangelslabel for updates! Psst, highly recommend this top for it's comfy material and versatility.

TAL: Prints Galore

This outfit is definitely more me than the previous post(: Back to my girly style with floral details and baroque prints. Isn't this top just so pretty? I love it when basics like this have a twist. The floral cut outs are just irresistible! In fact, I actually got this top in both colours, black and white. I'll be featuring the black one real soon!

As it's a single coloured top, it makes it a lot more easier to match. I paired it with one of my favourite skirts. You can pair it with a basic skater skirt but I thought that this whole ensemble would stand out more paired with a skirt with prints on it. That way, it won't look too boring or plain.

Laser cut outs are really in nowadays and I'm glad I finally got my hands on this top! My sister was saying that this is a really pretty top too haha! Moreover, it's only a whooping $21.50! I've seen other blogshops sell this top but at a price of around $27.

Decided to side braid my hair in order to look even more feminine and added chunky bangles to complete the look.

Do check out TAL's Facebook page here and follow them on instagram at @theangelslabel for updates! On a side note, went to AFA, TVD, MGG, LP warehouse sale today and bought 6 new items! Can't wait to wear them out :D Retail therapy after 3 weeks of crazy studying for promos haha!
