Polka Dot and Stripes

I wouldn't call myself a sneakers kind of girl but there are definitely days where all I want to do is wear my sneakers out. And weirdly enough, I will think of an outfit that would go with a pair of sneakers. So instead of matching my shoes to my outfit, I match my outfit to my shoes.

Wearing a very basic crop top from Jenesyss (The Yang) which pretty much goes with everything. It's super stretchy as well which makes it extra comfy. Was feeling playful that day and decided to throw on my bunny ears headband (only I call it bunny ears but doesn't it remind you of it??) which coincidentally is black and white as well haha! A fuss free and comfy outfit for a day of exploring shop houses!

Picnic Ready

An outfit which I wore 3 weeks back for a picnic date with Rifdi and my sister. I've nvr been a huge fan of having a picnic in Singapore cause the places for picnics are so far and the weather is just insanely hot. But somehow I just decided to tag along and boy was it fun!

We had a picnic at Botanic Gardens and it was really quit convenient! We bought all the food items at the shops nearby and just brought the mats and ciders. Which reminds me, Rifdi actually forgot to bring a bottle opener so we had to borrow it from an American family haha! Always bring a bottle opener when you buy drinks!

A glimpse of what we had that day! Now I'm really into picnics. Anyone up for a picnic date? (:

Ozone; Highest Bar in the WORLD!

I never imagined myself as someone who would enjoy going to bars prior to my HK trip but cause of the (bad or maybe good) influence of Vanny, we ended up gng to bars 6 out of the 7 days we were in HK tgt haha! Drinking overseas is definitely a lot more fun and it felt really good to be sitting next to a heater, which literally has fire, during the cold winter days.

So Van decided to google for rooftop bars in HK cause we wanted to check out the night view. And to our pleasant surprise, we found out that the highest bar in the world is located in HK! Quite ashamed to say that I didn't know that but yeah, haha so we went to check it out! I mean how could you give it a miss right? Just to take a photo of the scenery and say hey, we've been to the highest bar in the world (tick off smth on my bucket list as well)

Grainy photos cause the lighting was really dim oops.

Being labelled the highest bar in the world, the drinks were definitely pricier. One glass of cocktail was around SGD$35 and if you want to get a table, you'd have to spend HKD$400 (~SGD$70). Not that it's hard to spend that amount considering the price of one drink haha. But we didn't opt for a table cause it was really crowded and decided on the bar counter instead.

It's quite a different environment actually cause everyone there was a tourist and Caucasian for that matter. In fact, we were probably a group out of the 5 groups of Asians there. A little awkward but whatever, we're on a holiday and it's going to be fun!

And here's the view!! It's really hard to take a photo cause the lighting was so bad and Van's hands were trembling from the cold haha. But here it is (:

You need to go outdoors to snap this though and it's a smoking area outside so it was really quite 'smokey'. Which explains why I didn't stay out for long haha! But it's definitely worth the trip to Ozone if you're planning on going to HK!

And our flushed faces from the alcohol to end the post.

So yup! That's my experience at Ozone for you and I cannot wait to go back to HK with my friends sometime soon!

Put A Bow On It

You know how on certain days, you're just in the zone? Well the day this set of photos was taken, it wasn't that kind of day which explains the lack of photos. Van and I were walking outside Grand Hyatt HK and didn't really feel inspired by anything much and so we decided to just snap a few shots and leave. In fact, it went on for the whole day cause luck wasn't on our side when we went to Lan Kwai Fung and entered probably the worse bar possible.

But I thought I'd still share these photos cause I really like the colour tones of the outfit. I know I say that I don't really like wearing pink but this skirt comes in pastel pink which is so hard to resist! It's really rather princess ish and perfect for tea that day. Oh and check out my new kicks which I got from IT! Funnily enough, I entered IT cause they were having a major sale but the only thing I bought was something at its original price. Oh well, still got it anw cause a bow makes everything better (:

Parisian Dreams

And this set of photos marks the very first time I used red lip gloss. I've never been a fan of red cause I've always thought that I wouldn't be able to pull it off. And that explains why this romper has been lying in my wardrobe for a good 6 months. Decided to finally wear it cause I thought it'd look good against this white backdrop!

So my family went for a photo exhibition to show some love and support for my brother about a month back and this was what I wore there. Had to wear this romper with heels cause it's a little too long for me. But I didn't want to alter it shorter cause it flares out at the bottom which means that it's really prone to 'flying' when the wind blows haha!

Oh and I've also just recently played around with IG's new filters. (Super slow I know)

Haha got to say, they're pretty awesome!

PS. Humongous blue black on my knee if from falling off my bed (Things only I do hahaha)

喜喜冰室

When I was in Hong Kong, I went out with my cousin there who told me about this really interesting place to dine at. It's called 喜喜冰室(Match Box) and what's so interesting about it is that its design is very similar to a cafe you'll find in Hong Kong in the 70s. And so of course I had to check it out!

Here's the exterior of the shop which I thought was really cute just cause of the bike parked there haha! Anywho, it's conveniently located at Causeway Bay so it's a good place to drop by if you're there. In fact, right next to 喜喜冰室 is I.T. which Vanny and I spent a good hour at. Their Christmas sales are just too good to give a miss!

菠萝火腿($55)

The thing about the place is that their menu is in traditional chinese so it was quite a chore to read it. Ended up just looking at the photos to decide what to get! This is what Van got and honestly, we didn't really know what it is. There was a short description of what it is below its name but all we could read is honey hahaha! Well so I asked Van to describe what she was tasting and she said there's an half cooked egg, warm pineapple, ham, cheese, pancake, tomato and honey. Yeah it's a really weird combi but somehow it worked! As quoted from her, it's "uniquely weird" and "doesn't seem edible but nice". Haha! We were both staring at the dish half the time cause it just seems weird but Van still managed to finish it. Something new and interesting for a change.

黑白多士($19)

I ordered this because I've never seen such a french toast before. The usual ones in Hong Kong are those with pork floss, peanut butter, milk. You know, the typical kind. And so I decided to give this a shot! For some reason, it didn't hit me that it's black sesame when I saw the photo hahaha. Okay so I only realised that when I tasted it and it was pretty decent! Plus HKD$19 is only SGD$3.20. That's insanely cheap! It's even a dollar cheaper than a cup of tea there. I was laughing at Van cause her tea itself was more expensive than my lunch alr.

喜喜冰室 was quite packed when we got there but we didn't have to wait for seats. Everyone just ate really fast cause that's how cafes in Hong Kong works. Everyone eats insanely fast cause of the fast pace lifestyle over there haha. I do recommend checking this place out if you're visiting Hong Kong cause the food it serves is quite unique and different! (:
