Hands down the girliest outfit I own haha! I know it looks like a dress but it's actually a really cute 2 piece set! An off shoulder top and a skirt(: So you can wear it seperately as well which is really value for money! And this is how you expand your wardrobe hahaha

I really must praise El-ska for their customer service. This is my third time buying from them and they always upgrade my delivery to doorstep delivery free of charge! This means that there's no such thing as lost mail (happened to me before boohoo) and I get to received it the very next day! Which explains why I managed to wear this set out on Thursday when I only ordered it on Wednesday(:

I've really nvr experience such good customer service from a blogshop before. They even texted me to ask stuff like whether I like the apparels or whether there are any areas for improvements. 10 thumbs up!

Prelims are finally over!!! It feels weird that I don't have to study but I feel this urge to. Hahaha but going to ignore that urge and just enjoy this week(:

Some of you might recognise this outfit from my header photo up there! I wore this out for a birthday celebration with my family at my favourite place ever! Just imagine that there are luggages on the trolleys and everything will make sense haha! I'm currently in the midst of planning for a year end trip with my friends! Can you guess where I'm gng?

Now back to this outfit. So I really felt like a bunny on that day with my white dress and bunny headband. I just love wearing such headbands! They're so playful and just adds that extra little smth to your outfit! Decided to wear this dress cause I wanted to wear my favourite colour on my birthday haha!

Featuring a bustier which I got at a sale from TTR! TTR's sales are just insanely crazy (which is awesome for us) and I'm so glad I managed to get this! Got 3 more items as well which I haven't got to wear yet but still, it's such a deal!

To start things off, I am extremely sorry for the lack of updates on this page hahaha. I've been busy with prelims the last few weeks, I rarely even go out! I'm still in the midst of my exams actually but I thought that since it's Friday, I probably should cut myself some slack (even though I took a 3h nap right after my paper hehe) and just want to say thank you to those who have been coming back here frequently!

Today's post features a dress which I got wayyyyy back. Around 5 months back actually. I always tell myself to stop shopping because my parcels are arriving faster than the rate of me wearing them so my clothes just end up being piled up in my wardrobe. But I'm just a sucker for dresses with unique cut outs just like this! I even bought the exact dress in black which I can't wait to wear out!

This dress has a really flattering cut to it and it looks pretty structured because of the pleats at the bottom. I'd probably only wear it once though cause dresses like this really makes a statement and it's not as versatile as other plain dresses. With that being said, no regrets on purchasing this!

And yes, I do realise that I have lots of baby hair hahaha. Really need to rmb to use hairspray when I tie a bun next time!

A little update but 3 more papers next week and I'm done with prelims!!

Pam's Farewell

A bitter sweet moment writing this post because a friend of mine is flying off to the states today to further her studies. Well I actually have not seen Pamela for quite some time ever since she left SR last year but throughout her time in SR, we did build quite a friendship. She's actually the first person I met when we were split into our class (along with Jo) and I still rmb how the 3 of us had spaghetti tgt on the first day haha! She was also in my PW group so we really did spend quite some time tgt.

So her friends decided to organise a little farewell party for her and we were all quite surprised when they invited us via Jia Lin cause we actually don't know each other haha! A really nice guy called Nick organised it and he facebook messaged Jia Lin who then invited all of us.

When Pam entered her farewell party, she was really quite shock but the greatest shock of all was seeing a group of us there. She shared that she kind of guessed that she's gng for a surprise farewell party but she nvr expected us to be there at all. In fact, out of all the groups of ppl there she ran to us first right after she saw us hahaha! (Glad we surprised you Pam!)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Pammy's flying off tonight/tmr morning but we cant' send her off cause our prelims start tmr (hahaha crap) but we're all sending our virtual hugs over!!

 

All the best for whatever is to come and I'm sure you'll have an amazing making new friends and exploring new places! If taking a super long flight seems too tiring just rmb, all of us from 01 would very much rather be in your spot in the plane than sitting in the hall writing like there's no tmr cause time is nvr on Arts students side hahaha!

Rokeby

So glad I managed to plan a brunch date amidst all the crazy things happening. Before college day last Sat, Heyse, Jolene and I decided to have brunch at Rokeby cause we needed smth to look forward to hahahahaha. School for 7h on a Saturday is just depressing. Even though we were back to celebrate the school's 25th anniversary, it still feels as if we were going for a morning lecture on a weekend.

Initially, there were suppose to be 7 of us but Jia Lin fell ill, John and Leeyin decided to skip school and Jezreel overslept hahaha! So it ended up being just the 3 of us. It was a little embarrassing cause we actually made a reservation but we had to tell them there's just the 3 of us.

Smoked Salmon Caesar Salad ($11.90)

Chicken Caesar Salad ($9.90)

Doing the reviews for both salads tgt cause they were pretty much the same. It wasn't bad but Jo and Heyse didn't look overly enthusiastic about it. Personally, not a salad person so I gave this a miss!

Freo's Fish n Chips ($16.90)

I thought the presentation of this was really pretty! Really simple and clean. But other than that, nth much to rave about. The skin of the fish actually stuck to the white paper so I was pretty much just eating the meat of the fish. Couldn't finish it cause we actually ordered sides and I wanted to save some space for dessert!

Truffled Parmesan Fries ($8.90)

According to Jo, there wasn't enough truffle in this. I have to agree cause towards the bottom, it tasted like normal fries. I thought the top half was pretty good though! The serving is quite large as well so definitely worth the $8.90 quantity wise.

 Fruits and Nutella Waffles ($11.90)

And here's the reason why we wanted to check out Rokeby! My sister has been raving about their waffles after her visit there and I told the cafe hopping group about it. And as expected, it didn't disappoint! The waffles were crispy and fruits with nutella is a perfect combination. They do have other sides if you're afraid it'll be too sweet. If I'm not wrong, their waffles are one of their most famous dish and you definitely must order this if you're dropping by!

We were all a little disappointed to find out that their brunch ended at 12noon from Mon-Sat cause their brunch menu looks really good. It's quite weird actually cause don't most cafes have brunch all day ): I'd come back to Rokeby to try their brunch someday and hopefully, their brunch would be better than their lunch dishes! 

If you're paying Rokeby a visit, I'd advise to call and make a reservation first cause it's quite small. You wouldn't want to wait outside under the hot sun! Speaking of their size, the 3 of us were quite irked by the fact that it was insanely noisy. It's like we had to shout across in order to sustain a conversation. Definitely not a place to have a chat with a friend but oh well, we still tried our best to have a conversation haha!
