2SR01 Class Outing

And we've finally had a successful class outing after 1.5 years! Don't get me wrong, we're quite bonded as class. In fact, we always go out after school and even eat tgt during every single lunch break. Seeing each other every minute in school is kind of what I look forward to every weekday. But I guess we just hardly have time to meet up during the weekends. But I'm so glad we did this last Sat and went to Siloso Beach!

Earlier that day, I was out with my sister at ZoeyAnne's party launch and headed to Vivo to shop around a little. And the product of shopping in heels for 4h? I bought nth in the end. The omg I wana stab myself moment. Hahaha so I joined my friends a little ltr. They went to the beach at around 3.30 and I only went at 5! Coincidentally, Heyse and Jia Lin went late as well and so I met up with them to take the monorail tgt to the beach.

Did you know that walking on sand feels like you're walking on quicksand? It's impossible to walk in sand omg. How do ppl look so effortless while doing it. The 3 of us ended up taking off our shoes and fumbling here and there before managing to find the class. Heyse was saying how we should jog on sand one day as a form of exercise.

So first thing first, snapped some quick photos before the sun set! Jia Lin helped me with my ootd photos at the beach which you can check out here (Thanks Jials!) and we also took some with our amazing, beautiful, caring, dreamy, exciting, fabulous PW group members!

And group shots!

Yes, I do realise how fail our jump shots are but hey, A for effort?

Haha! These photos sadly, didn't include everyone cause a few of them came late! While waiting for them, Corn was telling Heyse, Jials and I how horrible they were at volleyball. Apparently they played against another group of ppl but they were equally bad so the game ended up being "Hit the ball once and watch it fall to the floor" haha!

And after the rest of them came, more photos!

And the really pretty sunset Corn couldn't stop talking about. A strike of his bucket list: Catch the sunset with his classmates(:

Nvr noticed this but we sure do jump a lot...

So the sun had finally set and it became dark except for some light from the street lights here and there. We continued playing at the beach though but our games toned down a little. We created a new game and play Truth Frisbee! We basically all stood in a circle and threw the frisbee in a clockwise direction. If you can't catch it, you'd have to tell the truth to a question that we would have set at the beginning. So each new cycle of throws = a new question. Well the questions were quite interesting but no sharing cause it's only gona stay between us haha!

At around 8pm, we took a bus back to Vivo and decided to all gather up at the rooftop after buying our dinner. We had a mini picnic and talked about all the nonsensical rubbish you can think of. Had a really fun time with 'em and I'm just glad to have them through JC life(:

Playful in Baroque

"I've nvr actually seen you with your hair down before" <- first thing Heyse said to me when she saw me last Tues afternoon. I guess it's quite true cause I often prefer tying my hair up. It's just so much neater and easier to manage when you have mega thick hair like mine. Guess it's time to pay my hairdresser a visit soon!

After much hunting, I've finally managed to find this pretty romper from a reseller! I originally bought it in S but it was wayyyy too small for me. I could zip it up and all but I couldn't breathe in it. Got it in M instead and it was a little loose here and there but I decided to wear it out anw cause it's too pretty to give a miss!

I also bought a matchy hairband just to match this romper. Quite silly right? Haha but I just thought it was really cute when I saw it in a shop the other day! What are the chances of finding a hairband in a similar print?! It's fate that I entered the shop and saw it haha!

Perfect brunch outfit and I'm starting to like the idea of letting my hair down and using a hairband to keep it in place. What do you think?

Hit The Beach

Let's go to the beach each, let's go get away. They say what they gonna say. Now if our lives were like dramas and a really fitting song will play at a particular scene, this song would have been playing last Sat when I was away at Siloso Beach! More particularly, it's pretty much just this 1 line replaying 10 000 times.

Finally got a chance to wear my beach shorts again! Beach shorts always look super comfy and laid back. It's pretty much PJ pants but a shorter version hahaha. Most of the time, they come with a draw string as well which is great cause it means that you can adjust it to your liking(:

This set of photos are taken by Jia Lin, my awesome schoolmate who doesn't mind rushing to take photos for me cause the sun was setting. Haha! She's like a mini future photographer in the making. Love you!

On a side note, I made an IG acc to sell my preloved clothes so you guys can head on over to @shopangieysw to see if there's anything you like! Pssssst, this pair of shorts is gng up there very soon!

Marina Bike Learning Trail

Hey guys! Here to share with y'all a really interesting event I went for yesterday! I took part in a bike learning trail organised by Singapore International Water Week (SIWW) and it was really quite an eventful day.

For starters, my sister and I parked the car at some random area cause we couldn't find the car park. We ended up walking the bridge of Nicoll Highway which took us a good 20mins haha! It was such a workout and we were so happy when we finally made our way to Waterways Watch Society(WWS) The volunteers there were really understanding and gave us directions and all. We felt quite bad cause we were quite late but they were super nice about it! They even helped us collect our bikes and adjust our seats(:

In every basket for our bikes, they also provided us with a towel, pen, booklet, tongs, raincoat and a bottle of water! I was the youngest participant there and I kind of felt like a really small kid cause they all took care of me haha! Well anw, we started cycling  and this is actually my first time taking part in a cycling event! It felt soooo much better than walking and my sister and I were just glad we could cycle the whole way. The wind was blowing against us which made it all the more cooler!

Our first unofficial stop was at a drainage.

The facil started sharing with us how our water comes from places such as this drain. He said that the metal bars you see in the photos above, help prevent objects such as leaves and plastic from polluting our waters. The only problem is if too much of it is collected, the flow of water will get blocked. That's why WWS volunteers and cleaners help clear the objects there to ensure that the water is running smoothly!

He also shared with us a not really related but interesting fact about fishing in Singapore! Apparently, at some places, fishermen need to release the fishes that they caught. That's smth I found really interesting and I guess it's to prevent overfishing from happening. So I guess those who fish there must just really enjoy the thrill of fishing haha!

My sister and I were saying how it feels like we're back in primary school on a learning trip. We felt that way with our event shirts and an adult sharing with us certain issues haha! So this stop isn't an official one but the facil wanted to share with us this interesting fact so he asked us to park our bikes here.

Moving on, we continued cycling to our first official stop! We cycled pass marina reservoir and the view was breathtaking! Didn't take much photos then cause we couldn't really stop to snap photos. Moreover, it started drizzling and that's why we had to tweak our itenary a little and skip the first stop. We went straight to the second one cause there's a nearby shelter there and in case it does rain, we'd have somewhere to seek shelter in.

So our second stop is Tan Kim Seng fountain.

A little ashamed to say this but I nvr knew this fountain existed in Singapore! It's a small but really pretty fountain and it was built to commemorate and thank Tan Kim Seng for his efforts in building Singapore. The facil shared with us that in the past, the British were not willing to spend money on developing our infrastructure. Hence, Mr. Tan started to invest and provide money for us to enjoy what we have today! The marina bay project was kick started by him and he definitely gave Singapore the push we needed to become what we are today(:

Well the rain didn't come so we cycled back to our first official stop. Along the way, we passed by a bridge and the vibrancy there is insane! I nvr knew that Singapore was really a happening place! When we cycled pass the bridge, there were groups of ppl playing the guitar, singing, having a picnic etc. That's really one of the things I enjoyed seeing on our trail!

So our first official stop is at the Sir Stamford Raffles statue by Singapore River.

Over here, the facil shared with us our main 4 sources for water. They are our reservoir, imported water, NeWater and desalinated water. The SS student in me was super interested cause we learnt this back in Sec school haha! Did you know that we have 16 reservoirs? They are Lower Seletar, Punggol, Serangoon, Bedok, Marina, Pandan, MacRitchie, Jurong Lake, Tengeh, Payan, Murai, Sarimbun, Kranji and Upper Seletar. I for one didn't know that we had so many reservoirs! Quite a cool fact and who knows, it might come in handy someday!

There were actually 2 more stations that we were suppose to go to but due to the lightning alert, we were unable to. A little bummed but it was still quite an eventful day! On our way back, we stopped by our last stop and that was right in front of the Singapore Flyer.

This is a really hot spot for tourist to come here and sit by the river. Just look at the amazing view from here!

Most of the time, they'd bring food along but due to the lack of bins, many of them leave their litter behind. This is when WWS comes in and organise bike watch where they'll cycle around the area and help pick up the litter. I really got to hand it to them cause it's so tiring to keep getting on and off your bikes! And to cycle the far distance as well, it's not smth that all of us can do. I was alr so tired by the time the bike trail ended that all I wanted to do was go home and bathe haha!

Well so it's finally time to go back to where we started. We had a mini debrief and filled up surveys for them. They also shared that WWS don't only organise bike trails but also kayaking ones where they clear the rubbish in the water as well! I think kayaking would be quite fun but I'm quite horrible at it and my boat will probably end up at some random corner haha!

Well overall, a really fun experience and it's definitely smth new! It brings both me and my sister back to our primary school days where we went on field trips and I guess this is smth you probably wouldn't get to experience often. I really learnt a lot and I nvr knew that so much effort is put into conserving our environment. I guess it's really time for us to step up and help save the environment. From simple things such as recycling, it will really make a big change if all of us do it! I was really beat when I got home and slept right after I bathe haha! Nevertheless, a tiring but eventful day(:

To end things off, a few more photos from yesterday!

Poppy Clouds

First but definitely not the last time you'll see me in a midi skirt! I've always avoided such skirts cause I guess they tend to make you look shorter and it's hard to find one that won't end up being a maxi when you're petite. So I'm really glad TTR launched this midi at a shorter length than usual!

You have no idea how many twirling shots I had to go through before deciding on one to post. It's just so fun to twirl in midis cause you nvr have to worry about your skirt flying a little too high and they make such a pretty swirl around you. I chose mint cause I don't have a skirt in this colour and I'm sure glad I did!

As for the top, I actually had it for about 2 months now but cause of exams, didn't wear it out cause I was home most of the time. I really, absolutely adore the lace deets at the top cause it's really sweet and dreamy. I'm quite girly if you don't alr know so I love details such as this hahaha!

Petite girls should nvr wear midis <- clearly breaking that rule but who cares.

End of MYEs!

Rmb how about 3 months back, I said I wouldn't procrastinate? Well... I didn't manage to stop procrastinating haha! On the bright side, I did start on Econs earlier than usual though. The past 3 weeks has been pure torture. Imagine staying in your room everyday with tons of books piled up on your desk. I'm just glad all that crap is done for now.

I ended my exams on Thurs and just when I was about the give myself a break, our Maths lecturer told us on Friday that there will be a pure maths test next Tues and a stats test next Wed. That's 1.5h per paper so if you add them both up, it's 3h long which is actually the whole duration of an A lvl paper. It just really sucks cause it's during our June hols and not even a week after the end of mid years! But oh well, life of a JC student.

But anywho, to mark the end of mid years, happy jump shots are a must!

I went out with Jo on Thursday right after our last paper to catch X Men! It really is a superb movie and all of you should catch it! Both of us didn't actually know what it was about cause we didn't see the trailer neither did we watch the previous movies (whaaaaaat, I know) but it was still really easy to understand(:

Spent the whole bus ride talking and talking. What's new.

We checked out a cafe called Lenas at Tampines 1 for lunch! I've always seen it around but nvr gotten around to actually try it out so I'm glad we did that day! We were talking on the bus and decided to have western food. Just when we were saying how there's lots of places to eat at Tampines, we realised that there wasn't really much choice for western food. We actually googled western food at tampines and Lenas came up! That's why we decided to try it out.

Beef Lasagne ($14.90)
Pesto Genovese with Chicken ($13.90)

I wouldn't say that the food there was excellent but it wasn't bad as well. Jo did find her lasagne a little too cheesy though. Can't blame her, look at the amount of cheese haha! But the lasagne itself was nice(: For the pasta, I had a choice of spaghetti or penne. The herbal is taste is super strong so only get this if you like the sauce!

Lenas have daily promotions too which we though was quite cool and a really good way to attract customers! For Thursday, we could get a free drink, salad and ice cream with every main course as long as it's above ($10.50++)

Well then we went to catch X Men and that's about it for that day!
