Mr.Goh's Wedding!

It's been exactly a week since Mr.Goh's wedding and I had so much fun that night, I couldn't wait to do a post about it. Recently, my house's wifi has been down which explains my mini hiatus from this space here. Just got it fixed today and I can't really sleep right now so I thought it'd be a nice time to blog(:

Last Sunday, Jia Lin and I decided to meet an hour earlier so that we can go round to take photos. Throughout the car ride there, I was texting JL and she was complaining about how everyone kept looking at her cause she was overdressed for a MRT ride haha! I feel her pain cause I'm pretty sure I'd feel super weird in a MRT too if I had to take one. Thank god for my parents who were so willing to send me to the hotel.

So we both got there at about the same time and walked over to Raffles Hotel to take some photos. JL is actually the one who took all the photos from my previous post(: She kept asking me to give her credits so JL, if you're reading this, I gave you credits ok haha! Ok no but seriously, thanks for taking the photos! We managed to find an empty field at the hotel which I nvr knew existed even though I've been there so many times. Decided to put my phone on self timer so that we can take some photos tgt.

The photo at the top right features our very unglam fail jump shot photo. We tried doing a jump shot about 10 times and they all turned out with our faces looking really constipated and us in a squatting position.

At about 6.45pm, we decided to head back to Swissotel since the wedding started at 7pm. We were greeted with lots of hugs from our classmates who were already there. Some of them actually formed a band called the Darwinians (Mr.Goh's name is Darwin. Get it get it?) and were singing for the wedding. Hence, they had to be there earlier to practice. There were lots of macaroons and cute cupcakes for us as well!

We spent the first hour going round mingling and taking photos. It's funny seeing your teachers out of school all in one location. Not kidding. We were actually trying to avoid teachers because it was so awkward hahaha. They probably don't even know our names but have seen our faces in school somewhere before.

At about 7.30pm, we started to get seated. The fuuny thing was half the time, our table was quite empty. That's cause half of our classmates were involved in performing so they only spent about an hr at the table. Well basically only Heyse, Lee Yin, Jia Lin, Jeanne and I were at our table the whole time. So that's 5 our of 12 seats filled haha!

Well arts students being ourselves, we spent the whole dinner taking photos haha!

And I'm so glad I got to see Mr. Chee!

J2 life has definitely been quite different without his sarcastic comments haha! It was nice catching up with him and he is always so willing to take photos :D Even though he was seated at another table, he spent about half the night at ours cause we had an extra seat.

And some photos of/with the happy couple!

I just loveeeee weddings. Sadly, the last time I've been to a wedding was about 3-4 years back at my uncle's wedding. There's just smth about weddings that gets everyone tearing away. It's really a magical feeling when you witness a couple start a new chapter together(: Here's wishing Mr Goh and Mrs.Goh a wonderful life ahead!

And the search for the perfect little white dress is officially over. I've recently been trying to stop buying dresses/rompers because I have a tendency to wear it once and not wear it again but this dress is just too angelic to give a miss. I saw Joyce's IG and the cutting of the dress just seems flawless and I'm so glad I decided to get it in the end(:

I had quite a dilemma choosing between the colours but decided to go for white in the end for the simple reason that I love my apparels in white haha! I can't emphasise how amazing the cutting of the dress is. The little cut outs at the sides makes the dress really unique as well. It has a really flowy feel to it which I love and I've received so many compliments for this dress!

Paired it with a statement necklace, white chunky heels and my favourite clutch and I was all set to attend Mr.Goh's wedding! Speaking about chunky heels, this is my first time wearing this pair out. It's really comfy and I'm pretty sure I can walk in it for hours haha! So my love for white heels continues... Just bought a pair of ombre white heels a few days back and I can't wait to receive it in the mail! Personally, I'd pair the dress with a light pink/white necklace such as the one I used but you can always pair it with smth a little bolder. Let's say a gold or neon coloured necklace(:

Little Diner

As promised, here's a post on Little Diner! Decided to kick start my 2014 right with brunch with the siblings which my awesome sister actually ended up treating us to haha! I've heard so much about Little Diner and have been wanting to go there for quite some time. The problem with most brunch places is that they are pretty much inaccessible without a car... So since my sister could drive that day, we decided to check the place out.

It was quite crowded on that day since it was a public holiday but we didn't have to wait for a seat. Think we got the last seats in the house. We spent some time looking through the menu and deciding what to eat. Just a little note but they don't serve all day brunch so do rmb to check out what time are their brunch timings if you're planning to get it!

Hot Chocolate ($4.90)

Got my usual hot drink for our brunch date. It just doesn't feel right drinking smth cold for brunch haha! I used to love ordering cold drinks but somehow a hot drink seems to pull a meal tgt. Chose a cup of Hot Chocolate that day and it was really good. Not too sweet, just the way I like it. Probably not the most photo worthy drink ever though haha!

 Latte ($4.90)

And my sister got her usual Latte. Oh I just learnt smth really interesting the other day. I was watching a show about coffee art and apparently a good coffee art will not change shape all the way till the last sip. Gues who's gona be going around drinking coffee and observing when the coffee art starts to change shape :D

Version 2.0 Baked Mac n Cheese ($19.50)

This look jaw dropping, mouth watering, scrumptiously delicious good. I knew what I wanted to order before even looking at the menu because I saw a photo of their Mac n Chesse beforehand. I'm a huge Mac n Cheese lover and I haven't had it for quite some time so I thought it would be nice to try their version of it. It's really creamy so the first few bites were amazing. However it's not wise to eat it alone. You gotta share it with someone if not you'll find it a problem finishing it. It's just too creamy haha! Glad I decided to share it with my sister so the portion was just nice.

Delancey Red Velvet Pancakes ($13.50)

I've previously seen a photo of their red velvet pancakes on Beatrice's instagram and that's how I got to know about Little Diner actually. My brother decided to try it and I had a little too. It's pretty much your ordinary pancakes I guess. Nth to rave about but nth bad about it either.

Weekful of Lace

My knit phase has changed to a lace phase haha! Been buying a lot of TTR items which all involve lace(: This is a really casual romper in my opinion. I like how it's suitable for days where you are just too lazy to mix and match. With that being said, it isn't too casual to the extent where you don't want to wear it haha! The lace details is really unique. Size S is a little big for me cause I somehow lost weight and now am officially a size XS for rompers yay! *Throws pom pom in the air* Paired it with my new JC espadrilles. I've nvr spent so much money on my own for shoes before but I'm not regretting it one bit. Ok maybe $200+ is a little pricey for espadrilles but quality over quantity right? I promise I won't chuck this pair of shoes aside hehe.

This top combines 2 of my favourite textures ever: knit and lace. Decided to bun my hair up so that the lace details will be more obvious(: I don't usually bun my hair cause I have too much hair. So much that it gets really messy after an hr and starts to droop down haha! Paired it with my worn to death TTR shorts. I just love how the lace details of the shorts matches the lace of my top. Well anw, wore this out on a study date with Joel. More like date for the procrastinators who does homework on the last possible day. I actually managed to seat at Starbucks for 5h and finished 4 Econs essays that day yippie! (Notice the pun?)

And I finally wore my Missypixie romper I got from the summer launch party out. Yeah... the summer launch party was back in June so that means this romper has been sitting in my wardrobe for a good 6 months. Nvr really found an opportunity to wear it. It's a really pretty piece and the gold buttons adds that little extra smth special(:

I won't be able to update this space as much as I use to because school has kicked in and I'm sure pretty soon I'll be scrambling for time to study. Even though I always procrastinate, I have to at some point start studying for As and fingers cross that it will be soon! Going to do up a post on my trip to the Little Diner sometime next week so watch out for that!

Funny story behind this set of photos. I'm sure all of you will be very surprised when I tell you all where the setting behind the photos is at. It's actually in a school! A high school in Shanghai(: We were there to experience a typical day of a 17 year old at school. It was during lunch time when Jolene and I made our way to the washroom. While walking there, we passed by this set of graffiti which was too cool! We immediately ran towards the walls to snap some photos haha!

I really like how we chanced upon the walls. It really made a good backdrop for what I was wearing that day. I put on a furry knit stolen from my sister's wardrobe and a pair of army printed jeans. Paired with my brown boots, it overall gave a really rugged kind of feel. Quite different from what I normally wear but as I always say, it's nice to try smth new(:

Well anw, school has officially started and I'm glad I made it through mid week! The following days are going to be really packed starting with a SRGCE presentation rehersal tmr after school. Sathiss and I are presenting for Shanghai and it's actually my first time talking on stage so wish me luck! I'll also be busy choreographing a dance for lit night on Friday and fingers crossed that everything goes well. Then Sat will come and OGL training will kick in! Can't wait for the new J1s to come in(:

Happy 2014 everyone! I hope you had a great time last night with your friends and family. I stayed home with mine because I didn't want to squeeze with half of Singapore's population at Marina Bay haha! Had KFC for dinner, played mahjong, heads up and watched Running Man(:

Started 2014 in something new today. This romper is actually my last buy of 2013(clothes wise) and I just couldn't wait to wear it out! TTR has been launching quite a few lace rompers and I'm in love with all of them. This Topshop inspired piece has got to be my favourite out of all the romper I own! The intricate and beautiful lace details are just so unique. I chose it in white cause it's just so elegant and angelic.

I'm quite glad I actually went to Kissjane to try it on first because apparently size S is wayyyy too big for me. Got this in XS and it fits perfectly(: Oh yeah, am wearing my new Jeffrey Campbell espadrilles and they're just so comfy! I can walk in it for the whole day if I have to hehe. And this pair of espadrilles are my official last buy of 2013 haha!
