Graffiti

I finally went to Haji Lane and of course took a photo with the very famous grafitti wall. Everyone who goes to Haji Lane always take a photo with it so as expected, I'm no exception :D

Recently, I'm quite into LB's items. The idea of shopping in a mall is also losing its attraction for some reason and I'm a lot more comfortable shopping online. It's just so much more convenient and the sizing is quite standard. Today's post features a top and skirt both from LB. They just launched the blouse and I'm in loveeeeee with it. It's just so perfect for summer. I'm normally not a fan of clothes that are too revealing but this is just too good to give a miss.

And I'm so glad to say that I finally got my hands on LB's Steffie skirt! Initially bought it in size S but it was too big for me. There was a lot of allowance at the waist. So much so that there's a gap between the skirt and my waist when I wore it haha! Traded with another girl for size XS and this size fits me just fine. Had to wear it from the top down though cause I couldn't get it pass my hips. Quite weird but it's fine when I wore it. I had to be more cautious in this skirt cause it's really short. Definitely couldn't take big strides. It's still a really pretty piece and I'm keeping it :D

Just to share a random thought. So today I was shopping at Haji Lane and I entered this shop which had a really cute lady working there. She walked over to me and spoke really slowly then she asked "Are you Japanese?" Haha! Turns out she thought that I was from Japan and was afraid I couldn't understand her. Well that's a first. Haha ok so apparently I look Japanese to some ppl.

ALSV!

Went out last Friday to meet up with Vanessa, Shericia and Lynn. This bunch of crazy friends I have are honestly the best people I have ever met in my life. They are actually the most impt friends I have from sec school and I always try to meet up with them to catch up(: It's hard sometimes because of our different busy schedules but it's all worth it.

Before I met them, I went to get my nails done! I'm so glad I finally have Christmas nails! Spent such a long time at the shop deciding what design to get. For those interested, I got my nails done at Dolish Nail Spa. It's quite a small shop actually but that's what I like about it. It gives you a cosy feeling and everyone isn't so rushed! I used to go to Nail Palace and I can nvr sit in peace cause everyone is just so busy and the place is noisy haha! There's only 1 person working on weekdays at DNS so I was the only customer in the shop. Anddddddd after 1h and 45mins of sitting there and talking to the girl doing my nails, here's the end product!!!

My nails reminds me of the Christmas lyrics which goes "I'm dreaming of a white Christmas" and "Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow" haha!

Anw, Lynn was a little late so we made our way to Raffles Hotel to snap some pictures first. I always have to bring my DSLR out when I'm with them cause they just love taking photos. And they're always so willing to help me take my outfit pics :D I think it's beginning to be like a custom. Whenever we go out, they'll help me take some photos then we'll take group shots.

After Lynn arrived, we shopped around for awhile and then decided to watch Frozen. Lynn and Shericia both have actually watched it before but after 5 mins of Vanessa and I gng "watch it again, watch it again", they decided to watch it again hehehe.

My nails just happen to match the Movie title haha! Anw, Frozen is really a heartwarming and touching movie. It's one of those Disney movies where you don't mind rewatching it. It definitely resembles Tangled at some parts but that's understandable cause they are directed by the same director. Do catch it if you have not! Definitely not one to miss(:

We then went round taking more photos like we always do.

Moving on, we decided to have dinner at Kith Cafe. The last time I went to Kith Cafe, it was a few days before my birthday and I went with Vanessa and Shericia which you can read about it here. This time, we didn't have to wait for seats cause it was past dinner time alr. We got there at about 8pm.

I can't rmb the exact names of the dishes but basically they were tuna, mushroom and bacon sandwiches. All of us found it pretty average though. They gave a little too much bread. Hence, all of us couldn't finish all the bread haha! Other than that, the mushroom sandwich that I had was pretty good! I just love eating sauteed mushrooms. They are one of my favourite dishes(: We stayed there till about 9.20pm talking and talking about everything.

Ended the night with a bus ride with Shericia home. Spent the 45mins having heart to heart talks and sharing about everything that's been going on in our lives. The next time we're meeting up will be near Christmas and I'm alr looking forward to it(:

Thalassa Summer

Mr Sun finally came out on Friday! It's been raining the past few days and it just doesn't feel right to be dressed all summery for it. Rainy days = knit wear and long sleeve tops (: I always say we should make good use of the cold weather to dress in knits cause on regular days, you'd be perspiring buckets haha!

This is one of my favourite tank tops. I'm actually not a huge fan of tank tops cause I find them too casual and it definitely would not be on my list of 'what to wear to town'. But this one is different. The vibrant prints on the Thalassa tank is so eye catching and colourful! I felt super cheery in this. Moreover, it's not a tight tank. In fact, I felt quite breezy in it and super comfortable the whole day.

To finish off my summer outfit, I wore my favourite pair of denim shorts. When I say favourite, I really mean favourite. I lost count of how many times I wore this pair of shorts! I don't usually rewear my clothes but this is just too pretty! I just love my basics hehe. And a pair of neon sandals to add an extra pop of colour! Just bought it recently and it's definitely value for money. For a whooping price of $16+, it's actually the cheapest pair of shoes I own haha! I forsee myself wearing this pair of sandals a lot more often. I was really tempted to buy another pair in zebra prints actually. Maybe I'll get it the next time I walk pass Rubi.

Tian Zi Fang

Thinking back to all the places I'd visited in Shanghai, my all time favourite place to go would have to be Tian Zi Fang. The other tourist attractions pale in comparison. Before I went on this trip, my sister and Rifdi kept telling me that I would definitely love Tian Zi Fang. I had no idea why back then but now I know.

To sum the place up, Tian Zi Fang is basically an artistic district. I don't mean that the whole street is full of paintings and performances but the whole layout and decorations definitely take you to somewhere different. I know I didn't feel like I was in Shanghai for starters. There are a lot of shops there so it's like a shopping district as well. All the restaurants and cafes there are seriously adorable. I rmb walking pass a teddy bear cafe and the whole place was decorated with teddy bears. I just wish we had more time to explore the place. If I'm gng back to Shanghai, I'd definitely spend a day there.

Tian Zi Fang is conveniently located right outside the MRT station called Dapuqiao. We took a MRT to the place actually and it took us about 1 min to walk to Tian Zi Fang.

Other than getting Starbucks (which group 1 is famous for haha), we also tried some fried potato. We bought 1 to share actually. We weren't really hungry but everyone seemed to be getting it so we decided to hop on the bandwagon and join them as well :D It was quite tasty actually and thinking about it makes me hungry. Excuse me while I go search my kitchen for food hahaha.

Well talking back to my favourite topic, shopping, I did manage to do a little shopping there! In fact, Tian Zi Fang is the first place that kicked start my shopping in Shanghai haha! Due to the fact that we were visiting schools and musuems the first 3 days, I didn't really shop. Not till I went to Tian Zi Fang on the fourth day that is. You can expect shops selling food, souveniers, shoes, caps, beanies, paintings etc. I bought a fedora, a beanie and some snacks there.

I got this beanie and it actually kept me warm on the fifth day(when it was 0 degrees) (: Quite a good buy actually. Can't rmb how much it was but it was definitely cheaper than buying beanies in Singapore.

Anw, here's satisfied us with our shopping :D
